Pros:

Schönes Hotel mit nettem Personal. Großer Pool und direkt am Strand. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war für Sumba sehr gut.

Cons:

Der Strand ist sehr schön zum Spazieren, aber wegen des Riffs nicht zum Schwimmen geeignet.

Pros:

We werden erg gastvrij ontvangen bij aankomst. De kamers waren goed verzorgd en schoon. Het hotel heeft een prachtige ligging, met een fijn zwembad en op korte afstand van het strand. Ook het restaurant was erg goed: een heerlijk ontbijt en vriendelijk personeel dat altijd behulpzaam te was. Absoluut een aanrader!

Eén van de beste verblijven van Sumba
Pros:

Dit is een topper. Alles is goed het eten heerlijk en vooral het personeel toppers zijn het.
Zwembad strand en in de rust. Huur een scooter en gaan.

À fuir et vite !
Pros:

Tout ce que je n ai pas aimé du tout ici m’a fait détester mon séjour.

Il n’y a pas de capitaine à bord de ce bateau !
Aucune maintenance, tout est vieillot laissé à l’abandon , les terrasse et jardins sont sales , l herbe n’est pas tondue , tout traîne , quelle désolation!
Les transats sont cassés , défoncés et quand enfin ils vous procurent un matelas de plage personne ne le range le soir, il reste à la pluie..
Piscine pleine de feuilles et pas soignée ( dommage c’est le seul point fort de cet endroit)
Abords glissants plein de mousses..
plage de sable sale, pas nettoyée, poubelles qui traînent.
Quelle honte !
Nourriture bof bof ..
Ne réservez surtout pas les bungalow les plus chers c’est glauque la dedans!
Pas de safe box
Pas d armoire, une étagère pourrie et 1 , oui 1 cintre des crochets au mur pour vos habits

Nice place, professional service, friendly and very good value
Pros:

We spent the first two days of our trip at Mario, and for the last 3 nights, we decided to go back there. After staying at various places in Sumba - including fancy resorts and homestay, we found Mario the most suitable. Although nothing fancy, the staff is very professional, room is comfortable, not far from the airport, right by the water with nice clean beach. We also got to have a meal at Makan Dulu (the reception arranged transportation for us), very special experience.

We would choose to stay at Mario again without any hestitation.

Pros:

Heerlijke bamboehut met uitzicht op zee.
Rijkelijk ontbijt en heerlijk diner.
Medewerkers zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Omgeving is prachtig. Wij hadden zelf een motorbike dus hebben veel kunnen zien.

Cons:

Het zwembad zou eigenlijk iedere dag schoon gemaakt moeten worden.
Jammer dat er kapotte ligbedden en zitzakken rond het zwembad staan. Haal deze weg en vernieuw het.

Very nice eco-friendly resort, best food we had in Sumba
Pros:

Mario is a nice eco-friendly resort. I first booked it because it's beach front and not far from the airport (20 minutes drive), so not expecting much, and it turns out to be a surprise: spacious, with miles of beach with clean white sand; room is beautiful but hard to photograph, so it's a lot nicer than the posted photos; staff is very professional and speaks perfect English; food and service are both great (especially the grilled chicken), and after staying in various places in Sumba for over a week now, I can say that Mario serves the best food with most reasonable price; also Starlink is now available in Sumba so internet is reliable. By being the first resort set up in Sumba, everything holds up very well, nothing fancy but very very comfortable, I certainly can feel a mood lift after our first night there.

Een fijne, rustige locatie voor een kort verblijf.
Pros:

Het is een fijne, rustige plek met zwembad en direct aan zee. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en wil je graag met alles helpen. De kamers zijn basic, maar prima en worden iedere dag schoongemaakt.

Cons:

Het is wat verouderd en het zwembad was niet erg schoon toen wij er waren. In de nabije omgeving is niet veel te doen, zonder chauffeur of eigen vervoer kun je niet zo veel.
