Leo saves the day!
Pros:

We planned to stay at the Super 8 Hotel on August 8, 2026 and it’s closed! We went inside saw a sign that said “ Closure May 19”!🤬 No notification! Just verified us on that Wednesday! We were going to a wedding in Smithville! The new owner Leo is renovating the hotel! Thanks to Leo he has another hotel at 1600 NE Parvin Rd. Called the Wyndham Baymont beautiful hotel, We were able to stay here! Thanks Leo for saving the day for us!

Cons:

Upon arrival I found the property to be closed for renovations. Booking.com and the property owner has yet to refund my money. Drove 4.5 hrs to a hotel I booked through booking.com that was closed. Horrible experience.

Worst accommodations I’ve experienced in over 20 years.

Cons:

The price was excessive for what you received. My confirmation and a placard in the room stated that breakfast was included with your stay. my total was $185.00. There was no breakfast, not even a donut. There was a small pot of coffee but no cream, sugar or sweetener. There was a horrible smell coming out of the AC unit approximately 12:30am. It woke me from a dead sleep. It was horrible. I turned the fan to low and that helped a little. There were not sufficient towels in the room. It was a room with two full size beds. I’ve never seen that in a hotel. The body wash pump in the bathroom either didn’t work or was empty. It was the worst motel/hotel I have stayed in over the last 25 years.

Didn't meet basic standards.
Pros:

Was close to KCMO and St. Joseph MO.

Cons:

The waffles were not offered Sunday To Tuesday because the desk man didn't know know how to set it up. The Night clerk Didn't give us a Queen room with 2 beds. She gave us a King for 4 large Adults. Then switched it out two Double beds not Queens, we had prepaid for. The staff has a hard time communicating as they are South Asian. But this is what we have come to expect from Super 8s.

Pros:

only hotel in Smithville. decent price. decent room. good parking, not too busy. breakfast was bare minimum but ok for kids and had decent coffee. i don't like how the room key stops working after 9am when checkout is at 11am. good beds and towels. ive stayed here several times because of the location.

Breakfast was a joke. 2 yogurts 1 milk, 4 grab and go cereals.

Das Zimmer war schrecklich. Das 2. Bett war entfernt worden, ohne das etwas Neues dort stand.

Der Teppichboden war alt und schmuddelig. Das Bettlaken hatte Flecken. Ein Handtuch war bereits benutzt.

Wir haben dieses Zimmer abgelehnt.

Das neue Zimmer war besser. Es roch aber nach altem Staubsaugerbeutel. Der Teppichboden war schmutzig und nicht gesaugt worden.
