This property reminded us of a treehouse. Beautiful property with microbrewery (closed the day we stayed) and pond. Staff was friendly and polite and offered welcome drink.
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff was INCREDIBLE. The views were stunning. The hotel sources most of the food they serve from a local, 100% sustainable and carbon neutral farm, and the food was Excellent. Truly a magical stay.
Driving up the mountain to get to the hotel is not for the faint of heart, but it was worth it. The scenery is magical. The hotel is authentic and quirky in a good way. Do not recommend for those with mobility issues.
Such a unique, serene experience. The entire staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The hotel had so many activities within itself it felt like we didn’t have enough time there!! Our favorite part was definitely the farm to table food experience. Every drink and dish was exquisite. We really appreciated this hotel’s keen attention to detail and the thoughtfulness in everything they do!!

The photos don’t even do it justice. The food was so good, we were disappointed that we couldn’t try everything on the menu. We only stayed 3 nights and that just wasn’t enough to take it all of the perfection that is Hotel Belmar.
This hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The staff was equally impressive. We took two tours offered by the hotel, Ficus climbing experience and the Farm experience. Both were highlights of our 10 days in Costa Rica. Highly recommend.

This was a gorgeous stay! The canopy room is beautiful. Walking distance from town. The cheesecake in the juice bar was the best we ever had. Stunning views and excellent service.
A beautiful property with very friendly staff and a wonderful on-site restaurant! They provided a complimentary upgrade as we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. There were white-faced monkeys playing on our deck which we enjoyed. We highly recommend staying here for part of your Monteverde experience!
Hotel Belmar was magnificent! Everything about it was pristine. The service was so friendly. Staff were so genuinely kind, helpful, & welcoming. They upgraded our room & the view from the balcony was gorgeous. I really cant say enough great things about this place. We ate at the restaurants & everything was delicious. Location was perfect to the cloud forest reserve.
Hotel Belmar is now my favorite hotel I’ve stayed at. The restaurant is amazing. The vibe there is so relaxing. The couples massage we got there the first day set the tone. If I ever go back to monteverde, Thais is where I’ll stay.
We had the best time for our honeymoon at Hotel Belmar! They treated us whenever they could. The staff were so friendly and helpful at every turn and every member of staff seemed to know everyone's name.
We took advantage of the onsite experiences by having a couple's massage, doing the night walk, swimming in the lake, using the whirlpool, free beer tasting and excellent food from the restaurant.
This hotel is beyond beautiful and luxurious. The staff are also very nice and helped us book zip lining. We loved the food at the restaurant and taste tasting the beers. Will definitely be back.
