Staff and location are great, but...
Pros:

This was my third time staying at the Liguanea Club. I love the traditional look and the location is unbeatable. The breakfast situation has improved considerably since my last stay a few months ago, with more choices. The front desk staff, Jermaine, Roxanne, and Romain are very pleasant and personable. The servers at breakfast were also pleasant, and one remembered me from my last visit four months earlier.

Cons:

Unfortunately, while the staff and location remain a reason to stay, the facilities leave a lot to be desired. There was no bar soap in the room, and when I asked, I was told the delivery hadn't come. We used the usual bath gel provided in the rooms to wash our hands, but then when we ran out and I asked for more, I was given shampoo instead because that was what was available. So we were expected to wash our hands with bath gel and bathe with shampoo. There were mosquitoes and a moth in the room, but I didn't see the point in complaining. The faucet in the bathroom is badly tarnished, making it appear dirty, and missing the C at the top of the cold water faucet, leaving a hole in the faucet. It just doesn't look professional. I would also add locks to the bedroom door as the only lock is the type where you turn the small tab on the actual door handle. I felt safer placing the iron board behind the door so at least I would hear if someone tried to open the door.

Comfortable location

Overall a comfortable stay
Pros:

Location fine good access The Breakfast poor options you can’t mix and match and always no juice and on one day completely ran out of juice altogether and always waiting for 1 juice jug to be filled up more selection of juices required

Cons:

Breakfast disappointing more options also running out of continental breakfast before breakfast service was over

Just a night stay.
Pros:

Always a pleasure to visit the Liguanea Club. Front desk staff amazing n very helpful in all situations. Clean n comfortable. Very close to the Emancipation Park for exercising, walks and social events. Beautiful plants n flowers. Gift/Tennis shop in lobby have delicious snacks, drinks n staff warm n friendly.

Great stay to see and get the vibes of Jamaica
Pros:

Staff was incredibly helpful and lovely. We had some travel challenges around the snow in January departing the US but they were flexible, communicative, and kind. Once we arrived, they kept the pool open for us late after an exhausting workday, and they provided extra towels. The breakfast was awesome (get the Jamaican one! best saltfish I've had), and this coffee snob was more than content with the complimentary breakfast coffee provided.

Cons:

The water pressure in the shower could have been stronger, but it was also fine.

Lovely accommodation. I would definitely stay here again..

Location is excellent. Staff friendly.. Very clean accommodation.

Cons:

Breakfast should have been hotter. Cold on first morning..a little warmer on day 2. Also breakfast is till 10 30 but we went down at 9.30 on first morning and several items not available. Therefore went down earlier on day 2 and choice was better.

This is a bad choice for a hotel....the lack of communication from a customer service standpoint!!!!

Cons:

I had a confirmed reservation. I contacted the hotel via email that I was on my way to the hotel. When I arrived the hotel at night the man at the gate told me he had no more keys. Also, that I had no reservation. This was one of the most embarrassing events of 2026. I proceeded to show the man the reservation he said, he had no more keys..

I was so upset to say the least. I had to rebook with another hotel for nearly twice the amount. That's all I can say is please cautious with this property.
