Great stay in Hazyview, we opted for the hotel rather than the bungalows, they looked amazing for families. Rooms were great, food awesome. Loads of activities in and around the resort. Overall, it was a good choice for us as we had very fit and active friends from Australia, they loved it.
The rooms looked dated and old, the resort could do with an upgrade.
Great service, friendly staff, tasty food and a variety of things to do.
Noisy guests at 2am but nothing the hotel did wrong.
Everything
Location
Clean and friendly
The pool was great, my children thoroughly enjoyed it. Golf was enjoyable for dad.
Service at the restaurant and poolside was poor. A very nice gentleman noticed us by the pool and made up for the rest of them by giving exceptional service afterwards. Too bad it was our last night by then.
I liked the food and the bedding. I loved everything about the room. Very comfortable.
The breakfast was good and the facilities were great
The dinner was awful.
Good, could be better
Place needs a bit of upgrade.
It's still the same since I have been there in 2018.
all excellent
nothing at all
The environment is clean and so beautiful. Very family oriented.
A bit old infrastructure
Location, comfort and very ckean
Nothing
We have been visiting Sabi River Sun for more than 30 years, and it is deeply disappointing to see what has happened to the pricing at this once family-friendly resort.
The drink prices are completely unreasonable and feel exploitative. Charging R46 for a small can of Coke is absurd by any standard, especially in South Africa. It leaves guests feeling taken advantage of rather than welcomed.
Over the years we have happily supported this resort and recommended it to friends and family, but the current pricing policy has completely changed the experience. When basic refreshments are priced at these levels, it sends a message that guest value and loyalty no longer matter.
The resort itself still has a beautiful setting, but the excessive pricing has seriously damaged what used to be a relaxing and enjoyable holiday destination.
Sadly, our discussions with the management team were equally disappointing. Rather than acknowledging guest concerns, we were simply told that the pricing is “head office policy.” After more than 30 years of loyalty, that response says everything about how little customer feedback now seems to matter.
Nice location and facilities
Not necessarily a dislike but a suggestive recommendation to account for cultural and religious differences particularly regarding the cuisine and food. Having food options and form of preparations that account for cultural and religious differences would be a value addition to customers experience
Beautiful resort.. Rooms are great..facilities are amazing
Chef was really nice to make some vegetarian dishes for us..
The breakfast was satisfactory. However, after staying at many Sun hotels in South Africa, I’m accustomed to receiving a cappuccino at no extra charge, and this was my first time being billed for it, which felt unusual.
The location was advantageous due to its proximity to one of the Kruger Gates. The golf course was excellent, and the 5 km running paths were well maintained.
Dinner options were limited, similar to the breakfast offering.
A room configured with two double beds is not suitable for a couple.
