Pros:

Old hotel charm and the food in the restaurant was fantastic. We decided to have dinner both nights in the Marconi restaurant as a result. Breakfast was great also. Definitely recommend if you like to feel like stepping back in time.

Fully exceeded our expectations and perfect for a weekend holiday.
Pros:

The breakfast was delicious and the staff remembered our tea and coffee orders after the first day which was a nice touch. The restaurant was gorgeous and very good food. The hotel bar was a great vibe and we ended up staying there the entire first night. The staff were consistently attentive and helpful. The room was comfortable and we fully enjoyed our stay.

Cons:

Our room was situated over the hotel bar, so the sound of the band playing was loud until about 1:30am. This didn't bother us too much as we were awake anyway, but if we had been trying to sleep it would have been annoying.

If its available book the room!
Pros:

Location central, perfect spot for exploring the town by foot! Atmosphere, lovely old school hotel vibes, as far removed from corporate vibe hotels, Foyles has a lovely welcoming atmosphere you appreciate from a family run hotel. Room was clean, basic and welcoming. Lovely large comfortable bed. Ensuite toilet with plenty of hot water a bath and shower. Great value for 2 night stay with breakfast included! Kippers on the menu and cooked to perfection with whatever you like to accompany them. Full irish breakfast with as much toast and tea or coffee. Buffet available with cereals, pasterys, yoghurt and juices. Best hotel breakfast I've ever had. Even though fully booked, there are not so many rooms and noise levels were minimal other then the odd passerby in the corridor. From start to finish service was fantastic. I think her name was Jodie was so welcoming and full of conversation. She even took the time to take us to the hotel bar to search for a poster my partner asked about. And the restaurant staff were great. Friendly and were able for the banter. I will be recommending Foyles to anybody i know thinking about venturing to Clifden.

Amazing country manor type hotel .. Cosy , warm , superb food ,Michelin level service.. though my stay .

Welcoming stay in heart of town
Pros:

We Love this hotel, we keep coming back to Foyles for the friendly staff, fabulous food and great music in the bar. Lovely welcoming hotel in the heart of town

Pros:

Fantastic old-style hotel located in brilliant location in lovely Clifden. Staff were incredible, very attentive, friendly, and happy to help. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was superb. Really can’t recommend the place enough.
