Arrival fine but not not particularly welcoming.
Nice sized room and layout but no TV remote so had to call down to reception to bring one to the room.
Awoke after the first night to find sewage water on the bathroom floor. On inspection the leak was from the bottom of the toilet. Making it worst I found a stuffed a face towel into the gap. This was soden with sewage. This suggests it was a known issue but hadnt been addressed. Shocking. Reception was called and they moved us to a new room but not the start you want at 7am in the morning.
The new room was fine but the shower room was very worn. Lots of mould in all corners and within the tiled area

No replacement of towels, tea & Coffee on the 3nd night.
Electric socket not screwed to the wall, very loose didn't feel safe so didn't use.
Overall a very poor experience unhygienic and very poor levels of cleanliness and service.
We have stayed at this hotel numerous times and is always our first choice when visiting Manchester. From check in to check out the service and facilities are fantastic. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly who can’t do enough for you. The hotel is spotlessly clean from walking through the main doors into reception and follows through to the rooms. We could highly recommend this hotel!

Reception staff were great. However, they needed to be as i had an issue with an exceptionally loud air con motor running in my room on the 9th floor, which I had to call Reception to rectify at 01.00 a.m. This meant I could not sleep, then at 08.30 a.m after little sleep I was woken again by cleaners knocking at my door, then subsequently the cleaners proceeded to shout to each other and vacuum.outside my door. I asked politely that they stop given the issue I had in the early hours, I was met with the response NO, WE ARE WORKING. I raised a complaint with reception at check out, and lovely Sam committed to me that given.the issues I'd had through the night and little sleep in a room I paid £126.00 for, she would fully refund my room.. Despite multiple messages to reception through the booking.com app AND a phone call whereby I was promised I would be called back, I'm yet to receive any communication or a refund

No instructions on how to use the aircon and the Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom. Also the tv kept turning off randomly.

My shower wasnt working properly on morning of second day. Think the regulator wasnt working as water was scalding and wouldntbchange temp. Had been fine evening before.

Really close to the Cathedral, and right next to Victoria station, couldn't be more convenient.
Lovely big room, comfy bed, awesome view (I was on the 8th floor), tea & coffee with milk and bottled water in a little fridge. Fabulous rainfall shower. Breakfast was good, lots of choice.
I particularly loved the lamps in the room, made out of old books!
The aircon was a bit of a puzzle...it showed the temp as 20° but the room was cold. I managed to turn it up slightly, but it was very noisy.
The shower, whilst fabulous, was difficult to reset to a bearable temp (it starts off scorching!) I wasted a LOT of water before I could get under it.
