Palaisdaan Hotel and Restaurant

Very much a budget hotel. The only one in Bagabag so I wasn't expecting much, and I got it.
Their main business comes from locals, not tourists, even though it's a great location to jump off from, for highway 109 and 110 (south & west respectively. The mountain drives are awesome.
So weddings are a mainstay for the hotel, but the wedding began at 3am!!!! All the wedding party and photographers, set construction etc, up making noise from 3am! I think the hotel are happier to ask forgiveness rather than permission.
Then there was: no sheets on the beds, just throw rugs - small - normal for the location, but not for a westerner who's used to sheets at least; cockroaches, but not every night, VERY noisy a/c; beds and fixtures in disrepair; nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom; no shelf for toiletries; not all the electric switches work; TV worked but it was highly damaged such that you couldn't watch it.
The staff are good though, and the water lilies magnificent. Easy to catch a tricycle out front, but don't pay too much: 50 pesos into Bagabag as at March 2025, and 200 pesos into Solano.
Bagabag is a great place to soak up the genuine Filipino culture though.
Expect friendly people.

Perfect for our family visit in the mountain province. Near Solano for shopping and local shops in Bagabag for food and other things. Great location for us.

Needs a lot of improvement. Need staff to help with luggage, no room utensils e.g. cups and glasses, etc. overall average, there’s room for improvements. 😊

Really nice garden area, and

Wir bekamen ein größeres Zimmer auf Grund von Renovierungsarbeiten. Leider mit lauter Klimaanlage, aber dafür mit Fenster zu Reisfeldern.
Das Zimmer war landestypisch ungepflegt, abgewohnt und schmutzig, aber es geht deutlich schlimmer auf den Philippinen für den Preis. Die Dame an der Rezeption war behilflich und machte das beste aus den bescheidenen Möglichkeiten des Hotels. Der Rest des Personals machte keinen guten Eindruck.
Internet funktionierte im Zimmer nicht.
Das Anwesen ist grundsätzlich sehr schön, mit viel Wasser und Grünflächen, bedarf aber ebenfalls Renovierung, die gerade durchgeführt wurde.
Das Frühstück war super, leider war nicht einmal der Tee inbegriffen und völlig überteuert. Dafür war die Limo günstig.
Die Unterkunft liegt günstig an der Straße nach Banaue. Es fahren Jeepneys direkt dorthin. Man muss sich nur vor an die Straße stellen.

Great location near Bagabag, but parts of hotel under construction and sparse bedding. Overall clean and decent for the price.

staff are friendly, just need to improve inside the room for cleanliness and maybe install door security chain.

Good Place

Surroundings are nice . They don’t clean your room door empty your garbage. Food is good. Staff are okay. They need little bit of customer service specially the one managing the place.

Very few regular staff , all are students doing the cleaning housekeeping. They should be the one having the credits not the owner

This is really a beautiful place. I wish we had a few more days to spend enjoying the beautiful nature and mountain sunrises.
