Atmosphere was lovely, close to everything we wanted. This was our 2nd stay here. Also, love the ambience and quirkiness of the place

The hotel is located in very popular area for shopping, restaurants and etc. At the same time , the hotel is quite private located , beautiful French features and a very attentive and welcoming staff. The breakfast was excellent with different cuisines. We will definitely choose this hotel if we are visiting again Seoul.

They have the worst Customer Service. They woke us up middle of the night by mistake and they won’t take care of it in anyway anyways.

Amazing rooms where every aspect is high quality and luxurious. The breakfast, afternoon and happy hours were excellent with a wide variety of food and beverages

Please accept my sincere apologies for this belated review. Due to a demanding work schedule, I have only now found the time to sit down and document this wonderful experience. The primary purpose of our trip to Seoul was to celebrate my wife's birthday. After researching various review platforms, I chose L’Escape, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Seoul Myeongdong, primarily drawn by its excellent location and strong reputation. Our stay proved to be an exceptional experience that far exceeded our expectations.

The exceptional service began even before we arrived. At noon two days prior to our arrival, I realized I wanted to prepare a special surprise for my wife upon check-in. Although I had not previously contacted the hotel directly, I left a message via the Marriott app. To my pleasant surprise, I received a reply from Lucas within minutes. Not only did he promptly help me arrange for a beautifully curated floral arrangement, but the hotel also thoughtfully provided a complimentary chocolate birthday cake. I am deeply grateful for Lucas's meticulous attention to detail and high level of professionalism.

To ensure the surprise remained a secret, I specifically requested discretion during the check-in process. Upon our arrival, George, who assisted us at the front desk, executed this request perfectly. He tactfully guided my wife and our traveling companion to the lounge for drinks, allowing me to complete the check-in process seamlessly at the desk. He also confirmed that the flowers and cake had already been set up. The moment my wife opened the door, the surprise I had hoped for was perfectly realized.

The remainder of our stay was equally delightful. The housekeeping was meticulous, maintaining the room flawlessly. Regarding dining, both the restaurant offerings and the room service were excellent. Given the summer heat in Seoul, we found genuine satisfaction dining within the property. The room service, in particular, was reasonably priced, delivered promptly, and the food temperature was perfectly maintained.

In terms of design and aesthetics, L’Escape is truly impressive. The overall decor is classic and tasteful. The unique tree installation on the 7th floor is particularly striking; it compelled me to take out my camera to capture its artistic presence. This brings me to my second suggestion: because the property is so rich in artistic details, providing a small printed guide or offering a brief welcome tour explaining the history and inspiration behind these installations would greatly enhance the guest experience.

Furthermore, the Marque d'Amour bar upstairs is another major highlight. Albert warmly and professionally introduced us to their signature cocktails, and every drink we selected was of the highest standard. I later learned that the bar was founded by a legendary Italian mixologist. Missing his monthly residency was our only slight regret.

If a friend were to ask me where to stay in Seoul for a special occasion, I would highly recommend this property without hesitation—though I would advise them to prepare for a uniquely moody, boutique aesthetic rather than a traditional, brightly lit hotel. Overall, I sincerely thank the hotel team for creating such beautiful memories, and I look forward to the opportunity to return to this charming property in the near future.

L’Escape is an experience- it is so different from the rest of Seoul and has a lot to offer! The hotel was very much family friendly, the staff was great, and the food delicious! Great location, solid gym, and very comfortable rooms. Highly recommend!

Staff, location, atmosphere

This hotel is one of our favorites in the world, this is our second visit. And we have now stayed in both the Atelier and Corner Suite with both being more than enough space for two people.

The Atelier suite was great for a two-night stay. The design is unique and fun, a French theme with super high-quality items. It’s a tad smaller than the corner suite and the views are a little less based on location within the hotel.

Grounds are immaculate with entry on floor one and check in and core hub on floor 7

The breakfast is great and the happy hour is still one of the best in the world. I was a bit worried corporate Marriot would take over and mess things up – luckily, they seemingly haven’t. All of the options are still there, incredible variety of whiskey, champagne, any liquor you can imagine and it’s all paired with enough high-quality food to be enough for dinner.

Just a great place, give it a try.

From the minute we set foot in the hotel our stay was amazing. The room was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. The shower and bathroom were huge and the vibe was overall fun. The staff were very helpful. Every evening there would be a little memo left on the bed at turn down service with the forecast for the next day and a suggestion for music to listen to in the room or evening stretches to do. The breakfast was also extraordinary. We loved our stay!
