Gute Lage und Bahnstation mit 2 Minuten Gehweg optimal.
Einrichtungsstil und Farbe (rote Wände, roter Teppich). Möbel schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, alles ziemlich plüschig. Eingangsbereich im Erdgeschoss sollte hochwertiger gestaltet werden (großflächige Kunstblumendekoration, die leider etwas billig wirkt).

The breakfast was expansive and there was no safe gluten free options, although they were promised to me - I checked it in advance, The staff dd not understand the contamination problem.
The gym was great - big and well equipped.
There was a confusion with the room. We were arriving very early in the morning so I booked one extra night (one night before our stay) so we could rest after the trip. We could use this room only 2 hours as we could not stay in this room - and had to move to another one. This was really annoying. but we got a complimentary breakfast for 1 day as a compensation.
Concierge (alle) waren sehr sehr freundlich und kompetent.

Superb hotel and outstanding high-quality breakfast. The room was spotlessly clean and plenty of fresh water, coffee, and tea was provided daily. A great location within short distance from many atmospheric small streets and restaurants that we enjoyed exploring. Super restaurants also in the hotel itself. We would be pleased to come back on our next visit to Seoul.
Dim light in the corridors and outside the lifts as part of the atmosphere in the hotel could maybe be a little brighter. We arrived very late (1am) due to a flight delay, so there was no one on the ground floor when we arrived. However, the reception is actually on the 7th floor so a sign at the entrance could be helpful to guide us directly for easier check-in. Once there, it was all perfect.
We stayed at L’Escape Seoul as part of our trip and unfortunately the experience did not meet the expectations created when booking.
The main disappointment was around the suite booking information. When making the reservation, the hotel website/app displayed “special benefits” alongside the suite information, which included wording that indicated access to the lounge. As a guest booking a suite at a luxury hotel, it was reasonable to understand this as an included benefit. However, on arrival we were informed that lounge access was only included with certain rates and not our reservation.
The issue was not simply that a benefit was unavailable — it was the lack of clarity in how this was presented during the booking process. We felt misled by the way the suite and its “special benefits” were displayed. When we raised this with the hotel, unfortunately nothing was done to acknowledge the confusion, clarify the communication issue, or offer any goodwill gesture. This was particularly disappointing for a property positioned within the luxury hotel market.
The hotel itself has a very distinctive design, with a French-inspired boutique style. While this will appeal to some guests, we found the overall atmosphere quite dark and felt more dated than luxurious. Compared with other high-end hotels we stayed in during our trip, it lacked the bright, welcoming feeling and attention to detail we had experienced elsewhere.
The facilities were also disappointing. The gym was quite basic and did not feel in keeping with the expectations of a luxury hotel. In addition, we were surprised by the lack of visible environmental initiatives. For example, there was no convenient water refill station for guests, something we found to be standard in many other luxury hotels we stayed in. Small sustainability touches such as reducing single-use plastic and encouraging bottle refills make a noticeable difference and would have improved the overall experience.
The front-of-house service was another area where we felt let down. Interactions often felt quite formal and distant rather than warm and welcoming. At a luxury hotel, the way guests are made to feel is just as important as the physical surroundings, and we did not experience the level of hospitality we expected.
There were some positives — the suite itself was comfortable and the hotel has a unique character — but these were overshadowed by the booking confusion, limited facilities and the way the situation was handled.
Overall, L’Escape Seoul has an interesting concept and could appeal to guests looking for a vintage boutique-style hotel, but our experience was disappointing. We hope the hotel reviews how suite benefits are communicated online, improves sustainability practices and focuses on creating a warmer, more guest-focused experience.
Beautiful hotel and staff couldn’t do enough for you. We had a free upgrade which was very unexpected and so lovely especially as it was our wedding anniversary and I hadn’t even mentioned that on booking. The suite was divine and very luxurious. Bed was super comfortable too. Next time we would love to stay for longer!

离明洞算近的了，但不是最近的。不过酒店100米就是新世纪百货。酒店房间挺大的而且卫生也还算干净的.我在其他平台看到的差评不可信！
7楼办理入住的服务人员态度可以更好一点
Luanna was extremely helpful and accommodating to our early 6am arrival. The hotel allowed us to hold our bags and luggage until our room was available. Luanna even kindly worked it out so we could check in early so we did not have to wait until 3pm. The hotel is beautifully decorated, professional amd friendly staff, and would highly recommend.
