Hotel is great. We stay here often. The check in staff is friendly and rooms are a good size.

Cons:

This was the first time we ate at the restaurant in the basement and it was very disappointing. Soup was cold, I was served undercooked shrimp, the server forgot our beverages until after we had the first course, and dessert was not tasty.
The price for the prix fixe menu was not listed anywhere online or on the printed menu and we were charged more for the entrees than the prices listed for the regular menu. We will not be going back to the restaurant at this hotel.

Staff at arrival very unfriendly, inattentive as if it was a bother to respond to my questions, no eye contact, rude dismissive.
I have mobility issues, called before booking, I am 5ft 1 and bed was extremely high, no accommodation for me, lastly stayed in Room 212 and leaky ceiling caused carpet to be wet/soaked in my room, pathway to bathroom.. told staff at check out.. nothing but “ it is unknown what can be done “ I had to report to Hilton complaint line

Lobby staff and breakfast staff was very nice. Cordial. Helpful. Omelet bar was excellent.

Cons:

Reported cockroach in bathroom to the Lobby attendant. Bathroom sink was in bedroom and not in bathroom. I was told all rooms were the same configuration but found room on same hallway with sink in bathroom. No coffee service for a Hilton Honors classified hotel is unthinkable. Was a Hilton Honors member for many years under maiden name.

Picture Perfect
Pros:

Updated historic hotel right in downtown Jackson. The front steps of the hotel lead you Main Street which is a picturesque old town couple of blocks with a variety of shops and restaurants. The staff at the national were all very friendly and I saw them interacting with other guests the same as they did to me. The downstairs bar and restaurant “the duke” is very convenient and has a great variety of food and alcohol. Room was cool , clean and bed was comfortable.

Cons:

Only downside is no refrigerator in the rooms.

Everything i hoped it'd be.
Pros:

The staff was friendly, location was great. It offered everything it promised. It is a comfortable historic hotel with all the details to make you feel like you stepped back in time but all needed modern amenities.

Cons:

There wasn't anything I didnt like, however the parking was confusing.

Old charm in excellent location
Pros:

Old look and style with modern, well equipped rooms.

Cons:

Rooms very tiny with sink inside the room and almost unable to open the door due to armchair blocking the access. This was second time staying and first experience was better. Staff is exceptional and went above and beyond to help!
