Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Onyx.
Pros:

Excellent hotel. Luxurious, comfortable, clean, with everything you need in the room (microwave, oven, fridge, coffee, tea, etc.) and with a central location. The Cape Town Convention Centre and V&A Waterfront are close by. Staff are friendly and courteous. Free, secure parking on site. The Yu restaurant is fantastic. The Market restaurant, where breakfast is served, is great too.

Cons:

This is a small gripe, but the laundry service is a little expensive compared to other places I've stayed.

Lack of Customer Service

Pricing.

Cons:

Lack of customer service and flexibility. Charged me USD$1.6k for altering reservations due to major winter storm in EWR, etc. Causing 3 day stay in airport. Called, emailed reservations and they were not responsive and dismissive of situation. Called and emailed upper management. No reply to request to modify days.

Everything I needed and SO MUCH MORE!
Pros:

What did I like about the property? EVERYTHING! So conveniently located right next to the CTICC, and walking distance from shops and pharmacies.

The room was well equipped with great air conditioning, an iron, oven, stove top and fridge. They also have two restaurants downstairs, I got coffee from one of them every morning and it was great!

If you stay here, be sure to stop by the spa and book a treatment for yourself - I had the BEST Swedish massage with Maybe, it was absolutely incredible.

I don’t think I’ll ever stay anywhere else again whenever I’m in Cape Town.
