Excellent affordable and comfortable accommodation with super hosts who were flexible and helpful.
Pros:

A very warm welcome from the hosts. Clearly explained house rules, keys, breakfast time, and check out, which was flexible. No problem in bringing takeaway for a later evening meal. Spacious bedroom with en suite. All very clean, neat, and tidy. Very informal and inclusive, with all staff enjoying and making an effort to help you enjoy your stay.

Cons:

I would have appreciated blackout curtains, as the room's early-morning ambient light could be distracting.
There was no soap in the bathroom.

Just what I needed for 2 nights whilst working in Tow Law.
Pros:

This venue is value for money with the owners and staff being very attentive - amenities are precisely that which you would expect of the venue when you view it. Ideal for short stays when exploring County Durham. They are renowned fot their Sunday lunchtime roasts.

Cons:

All was fine

Pleasantly surprised
Pros:

The staff were exceptionally friendly. The fish used for my fish and chips dinner was exceptionally good. Cooked breakfast was faultless. There was plenty of parking. The shower facilities in the bathroom were modern. Room was spotless. At first glance, the place might not look much, but looks can be deceiving!

Cons:

Breakfast included tea/coffee, but the coffee was instant and I am more used to drinking fresh coffee. I am used to a harder bed (a personal preference)
