Pros:

Average cheap motel. Old and cold. Wasn't looking for 5 star.

Pros:

We only stayed here because the whole city was booked and once we arrived it was horrible. Next time we will just stay in the cab of our pickup. We went to check in the the lobby looked like it was being renovated but it was not. It was just cluttered and dirty. We had to wait for the two employees that checked us in to come in from outside smoking. We are not smokers and the room was supposed to be non smoking as well. They could not find the key to our room but after looking for sometime the ended up giving us their personal key off their private key ring. I asked when in the morning could I return it. They said to leave it in the room or the mail box because they were closed the next day. (Which was a Saturday). But having the only key left I felt like the last renter or who ever was going to enter my room at any time. I did not feel safe at all. Once in the room it smelled heavy with Urine. They do not except pets so one could only wonder why that smell. It was so strong it burned my nose. The bath room had used pieces of soap in the shower and there was debris and cigarette butts on the carpet. Like the vacuum pushed them to the side walls but did not get picked up. We ended up going and buying sheets and blankets of our own at Walmart because the bed was so unsatisfactory. The next day at our new hotel I pulled those same blankets out to use on the bleachers and the stunk like the urine room we stayed in the night before. I would not wish this motel on my worse enemy.

Bad experience
Pros:

Worst place we’ve stayed at. No towel service had the ask for towels on all three days no iron in the room no cups for water. We ran out of toilet paper on the second day and the office was closed so I had to go buy some at the store at 5:30am. On the last day we were there they came in our room to empty the trash and drop off towels and they left our door open and unlocked. We thought someone has robbed us. Thankfully, no one was in the room and our luggage was still there. Never would stay at this dump again. Horrible management

A Friendly Staff Providing a Comfortable Room
Pros:

The ownership/staff is very friendly and accommodating. The motel definitely has been around for a long time, but I like the real wood paneling; it is warm and cozy. I would have rated comfort even higher because the bed is very supportive, but the pillow is a typical hotel pillow, firm to the point of not being very comfortable. Aberdeen is what it is, an overgrown farm town, but it does contain Northern State University, which helps the atmosphere. Because I go for business, it does not matter very much for me. Again, for sportsmen, business travelers, or for those looking to economize a bit, the Innkeeper fills the bill.
