Spacious room, good wifi.

I hate to write this review but I won’t recommend anyone to stay here because room wasn’t clean,furniture looks old and cockroaches all over the place.

It has been my experience that what is acceptable in one place can be unacceptable in another place. And what is considered luxury or any other standard has different meaning in varios locations. With that said, I can only refer to the previous statements to explain why this location has such outstanding reviews. Upon entering room immediately saw roaches. Apt was in need of repairs to include but not limited to; painting of walls, caulking of many areas in kitchen, and an overall deep cleaning. Wall behind dirty trash can needs cleaning. Was substandard and I could not stay here.

I really enjoyed this hotel located by the beach nice view easy access to restaurants and stores. The hotel is very clean and very comfortable bed. I actually I extended my stay for additional three nights. Defenetely I will rebook here in my future visit.

Pros: responsive, helpful and friendly management; when I was moved into a room that didn't reflect the reservation I made, management made it right when an appropriate room became available. Strong wifi and cable TV. Spacious rooms with patios and views. Hot showers. Good prices. Secure building. Friendly, local neighborhood.

Cons: Facilities are generally old and need to be better maintained (e.g. toilet seat in my room was loose/broken; towels and linen are typially old/stained and in need of replacement; dishes and cutlery may be broken; curtains in first unit were old/unclean). Housekeeping is ok, but some things like surfaces and end tables could be better cleaned and disinfected. Biggest default: roaches in units (mostly kitchen area). The rooms and apartments should be fumigated to deal with this big problem. Note that toilet paper is not provided (a small starter roll may be in unit). In general, I was expecting a hotel experience and I would say this was more a roadside motel experience with apartment-style units.

I have no probably with ba residence it’s good 😊 for the price that you pay 💰. It is 1 of the most affordable hotels 🏨 In Senegal 🇸🇳. The staff was very friendly also .

Great staff, but the property is invested with cockroaches

Our arrival was problematic. We flew in at 1:25 AM. I had communicated with our host and arranged an airport pick up and a late check in. Our host apologized later, But the driver he booked slept through our arrival. We were able to get a taxi to the property but it was difficult to find. When we arrived, we had difficulty communicating with the security guard who received us. We had arranged our daughter to check in early to welcome us to our room. Although she was sleeping in the room, We were told she was not there. Later, we were able to straighten out the misunderstanding and be shown upstairs. Later, we were finally given bottled water to drink. And the next day, after asking, we were given towels. There was no soap in the apartment.Cheigh, Who helped us find a taxi on departure, was extremely communicative and helpful and apologetic. We appreciated his help.

The staff is amazing! They are renovating some of the rooms so the maintenance men were very busy but still assisted us when needed and provided items we required. The woman at the front desk could not have been more kind and helpful. Rooms were clean and had everything needed for a pleasant stay.

The residence is well maintained and neat. However, I do think that a lift in the building is needed since we had to scale up stairs to the fifth floor each day. To make up for the absence of a lift in the building was the excellent staff that stood ready to assist. Lastly, I would advice that the residence be marketed a bit course it was a struggle to explain to taxi drivers since it is hardly known.

I had great time in Dakar and the place i stayed was fabolous. Ba Residence i highly recommend the place. 5 Star service, very clean, comfortable, AC and Wifi. But there is no TV Cable only 5 local channels and 5 more other suck channels.

Likes: - The front desk clerk; she was extremely helpful and courteous
- The room I booked (Room 401); it had an excellent view of the
ocean and Dakar city. I couldn't have asked for a better room.
- 24/7 security
Areas of Opportunity: - The only major thing would be to have vending machines featuring snacks and beverages and an ATM because obtaining cash can be quite a hassle and not many shops and markets accept cards

Likes: Beautiful room with a great view of Dakar and the beach (Room 401). The Front Desk Clerk was extremely courteous and helpful with recommending places to check out and ordering food for delivery to the hotel. The hotel had round the clock security in the front lobby area.
Areas of Opportunity (instead of Dislikes): This place is a gem, but it needs a website. A few vending machines and ATM would definitely help because it would allow the hotel to feature some of Dakar's own snacks and beverages without traveling to a small shop; especially late at night because Dakar has a vibrant nightlife. Also, having an ATM would prevent guests from traveling a few miles to get currency. Special note: many of the small shops in Dakar only take cash (West African Franc) as form of payment if you decide to patronize. The only places I know safe enough to obtain currency were banks located downtown near the Presidential Palace, the airport (which is almost a hour around from this hotel or many other hotels to be exact and travel does get congested in this city), and the Casino (I was able to get currency there). Last one, this place has no elevator and my room was close to the top floor; the stairs are steep and narrow.

Ba Residence is a great place to stay and is in a wonderful neighborhood close to the beach. I loved it!

The hotel is far from city. They dont have wifi, breakfast and services. I do not recommend to stay here. Its waste of money.

Awesome hotel. Will stay again. The views, service, interior and exterior design are all 4 star plus.
