Lack of car parking, when busy.
This is the second time we've stayed at the hotel and once again we were not disappointed. Located between Weybourne and Kelling the hotel is ideally located to explore most of the North Norfolk coastline. There is ample parking in front and around the site. Our room was airy and spacious and overlooked the front. The beds were large and comfortable and the room well stocked. Fresh milk and courtesy still water were provided each day. The staff are very friendly and were a good source for local sites to visit. We ate in the first night and the food was delicious as was breakfast which caters for all tastes. We also ate at The Dun Cow in Salthouse and The Feathers in Holt both of which we would recommend. For those fit and able and if time permits we would also recommend taking the hotels circular walk (maps available in reception) which takes you down to Kelling beach and back. At its apex you get spectacular views of the local coastline and can use the beach to walk to Salthouses, Weybourne and much further a field. During our stay we visiting Pensthorpe Nature Reserve nr Fakenham, Sheringham (shops not that good but nice clean town and part of the North Norfolk Railway), Burnham Market, Holt, Blakeney and Clay. Most are a relatively short car journey from the hotel. Again when in Sheringham we would recommend walking to the coastguard spotting station, a small building you can see on the costal path off the local golf course. The views are wonderful. Great stay would definitely recommend the Pheasant as a quiet friendly hotel brilliantly located to explore the beauty of the NN coastline.
Nothing. We loved it all.
Room was large, comfortable, well serviced
Bar friendly
Breakfast wide selection, freshly cooked to order
Gardens beautiful and well maintained
One window misted by condensation in double glazing
The hotel is immaculate, lovely accommodation.
Food was excellent and we couldn't find fault anywhere in the hotel.
Nothing
We loved everything. Didn't want to leave. The room was very comfortable and lots of hot water to shower. Amenities were so good.
The food excelled expectations it was perfectly cooked and delicious. The presentation was really nice. It was excellent. The breakfast was equally excellent and such a fabulous choice. We were so happy with it all.
Nothing. We loved everything.
Everything was amazing. Location was convenient and so close to the beach, food was delicious, staff were so friendly, rooms and the dinning areas were so clean. Will definitely visit again
Nothing!
Recently updated dining room & conservatory, very attractive.
Extremely polite and helpful staff.
Near to sea & coast road. Comfortable room, good breakfast.
Dining not amazing. Menu same as several weeks ago.
A really comfortable well decorated and spotlessly clean hotel with friendly welcoming staff ,the perfect midweek break destination, excellent coastal walks right on the doorstep too
Nothing to dislike
Bright, spacious, well laid out and looked after. Lovely bar and restaurant areas. Lots of flexibility with eating options. We preferred the bar and that was no trouble for the staff. Access to the North Norfolk coast.
Very limited views from our room, which was a standard.
Nice amenities.
Would be nice if receptionist asked cleaners to wait to have conversation and deal with waiting guests first.
Uncomfortable bed and pillows.
Room needs upgrading. Huge lump out of wall. Grouting in bathroom needs replacing. Tub chair at table near mirror would be better being replaced with chair that fit under table. Takes up too much room.
Everything
Nothing
Goid selection at breakfast, would have liked more yoghurt and Danish pastry selection.
Dinner menu a little over complicated, would have like more simple choices.
