Professional property host/manager
We only stayed at the hotel for 1 night as we wanted to squeeze a visit to Ephesus into our trip. The hotel was a walk away from Selcuk town which has beautiful and vibrant streets. The hotel was quiet, clean and had a beautiful breakfast spread. The one downside with the manager's assistant was that their limited understanding of English. So long as the manager was around, it was all okay. We had a wonderful stay!
This hotel is unique. I was really happy to see how to clean it was. I only stayed one night, but I have a friend who will be coming next week and I have recommend this hotel for her to stay. Staff is friendly.
Location was great, room itself & pool area very nice. Breakfast adequate. The room described which I booked included a yard/patio but was not the room we were given. Rooms did have balconies but ours did not even though I had booked 6 months in advance & paid extra for this. The staff attitude was I don’t know why that happened- this is the only option you have. Was very disappointed
Lovely stay.
My wife and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel.
Our room was spacious and clean, with a nice bathroom. Our room looked on to a nice swimming pool. The room was clean and was made up after 2 nights. The staff were polite and friendly, and advised about the area and mini buses.
We had a nice breakfast each morning consisting of cereal, scrambled eggs, pastries, cake, and salads.
It was about 5-10 minutes walk from the train station. St John's Basilica is a short walk of about 300 meters away. Also, the museum is a short walk away.
The mini bus stop under the bridge is a 5-10 minute walk where you can catch a bus to kusadasi or Ephesus.
I had a swim on our last day, which was very refreshing after walking in the heat all day. The only thing I will say is my wife would not go in the pool as it is over her head and too deep, and she likes to touch bottom. It's not a problem for me, but for some people, it might be slightly too deep.
We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again if in the area, and we would totally recommend it to other travelers.
Lots of character and the owners are lovely and helpful. Rooms are large by European standards. Great location next to sights and a pedestrian shopping/eating zone. Will recommend to all my friends.
This hotel is such a find and we are so grateful for the beautiful hospitality of this family-run spot. What lovely people and a lovely hotel! It's located in the center of Selcuk town, and you have great restaurants, shopping, and incredible ancient ruins just a few steps away. We really loved the decor touches, and made it truly feel rustic and authentic to the area. The breakfast was just incredible and super fresh! There were a few items we had not yet tried in our time in Turkey. One extra-special detail - we reached out ahead of our stay to organize a tour, and they found us the most perfect tour guide for a private tour of many of the famous sites in Ephesus that was one of the most memorable parts of our whole trip. Highly highly recommend this hotel and we hope to visit again soon!
A wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of the old town. A great breakfast every morning. And a refreshing pool. Highly recommend
This hotel is simply beautiful. It is uniquely laid out, with a variety of room options for different numbers of guests. I would say if mobility is an issue, this is not the space for you, but if not, you should definitely stay here. It is conveniently located for a trip to Ephesus, and across the main road is a charming area to shop and eat. The room we chose had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. Sadly, we had to leave very early and were unable to enjoy the breakfast in the pretty indoor/outdoor space.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Celsus Hotel. Ephesus (archeological site) was only 9 min drive away. While it was hot outside, we enjoyed a cool room with AC and pool to cool down in. I highly recommend this gem of a spot. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was 5-star, too!
Celsus Boutique Hotel was a fantastic base for our stay in Selçuk. The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming. The location is excellent — just a short drive (under 10 minutes) to Ephesus and only a 4-minute walk to the Basilica of St. John. Great local restaurants are also within easy reach.
The property is spotless, and our room was very comfortable. Parking our rental car was easy and convenient. Breakfast was generous, fresh, and delicious every morning.
The only downside was the Wi-Fi in the room, which was slow and intermittent. That said, the connection in the lobby was excellent — I had two video meetings there without any issues.
Overall, highly recommended and I would definitely stay again.
Celsus hotel was amazing. The staff were friendly, the hotel quaint, newly renovated and absolutely wonderful. They were courteous to have the roll away bed brought in a set up prior to our arrival and without even asking (they noticed we were a family of four with small children), and had the AC on to cook the room. During check in our hostess was friendly and gave us a bit of information on local history and sites to check out and she was spot on! I did t realize how close and walkable the area was to historical sites, cafes, and shopping. A must stop for your travels!
Celsius Boutique Hotel is well situated, central but quiet and relaxing. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We would come again anytime!
The pool area is magical. LIke a little oasis. It is a around the corner from Basilica of St John. We stayed in the family suite for 4 people. It was nice and clean. The staff was very helpful. It was an excellent value.
Very nice hotel
Amazing breakfast
Lovely place to stay
Very clean. Helpful staff. Some what limited Turkish breakfast.
No parking. No dining, however, there are many eateries nearby.
Beautiful co
We had a wonderful stay here. The room was clean, we loved our balcony, and breakfast was excellent, with many of the items coming directly from the owner’s farm. Great location, near Ephesus Ancient City, Ephesus Museum and right across from St.John Basilica. Easy to do day trips by bus to Sirince, Kasudasi and Izmir. They were helpful in setting up our day trip to Pamukkale and arranged our transport to the hotel and to the train station.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
We loved our stay here!
We stayed in a deluxe double room with a view over the pool. A nice, large room that was very comfortable. This is a family run hotel and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast with cooked to order eggs.
The only thing to be aware of is the proximity to the mosque, it is right next to the hotel so the early morning call to prayer feels like it is coming from inside the room. It didn’t detract from the charm of this boutique hotel and we would highly recommend staying here while in Selcuk.
What an absolute gem! The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was super kind and attentive. The hotel was within walking to several sites and restaurants.
