Hotel Veniz Burnham

Easy to check in. Shower water pressure was very weak. Shower head was very moldy.

Every time that we had our staycation in Baguio, we always stayed at our favorite hotel, which is Veniz Hotel near Burnham Park. We stayed there last March 17, 2025, for a night after going to Atok Benguet and another night on March 19, 2025, before going back to Manila. It was our 5th time staying in this hotel because of its location, service, and room accommodation. The breakfast is very good with a variety of food at their buffet. The quoted café restaurant is impressive as it is newly renovated. I highly commend the breakfast server named “Jess,” real name Jen Aubrey. She had done an extraordinary service, very accommodating, attentive, and willing to go an extra mile services. Although the guestroom is impeccably clean and tidy, the bathroom needs to be properly maintained. The bathroom door and jamb surfaces need to be re-varnished. The bathroom corner and edges need to be re-grouted. On our 1st night, the towels set up a bit new, but on March 19, the bathmat was old and stained. Despite the unpleasant condition of the bathroom, I believe their management will look into it. Kudos to Security named JR for helping with our luggage on our checked-in and departure. We will definitely stay again at Veniz Hotel and highly recommend this to our friends and family.

hotel is run down. I booked 5 room for my wife to stay at baguio. first as we got to our room our shower was leaking and called someone take look at it said yes broken but they can't do anything about. and also noticed none of the shower have door. i ask front desk about it and told none of the superior room in the hootel don't have doors we were travelling with kids and since there was no door the floor is all was wet and there could have been accidents. when looking at photos on they website of the bathroom the shower have door. very misleading. sadly my wife mother received bad news and had go home so our group got smaller from 19 to 16 adults. so second breakfest they try to charge us extra even we have enough breakfast coupons to cover our group. never staying at this hotel ever again and don't trust the photos of the rooms from this hotel. what so ever.after spending $1500 on my 3 night stay. I just wanted the basic needs from a hotel and this hotel miss the mark. the only thing save this hotel maybe the breakfast buffet with a view. that the only good about this hotel.

Receptionist staff doesnt focus on our request on the time of check in (join the beds) even requested for 3 times.

Another room, however new room provided was so dirty. I have raised the issue and the FO manager (Mr.Miller) assisted us and have given a free upgrade. He secured the cleanliness of the new room before shifting us. Thank you so much, really appreaciate.

Breakfast is fine but atleast they should put label on the dishes which has been serve, as some of the guest have some allergies or only eating halal food.

Housekeeping was asking for extra money 50 pesos if you are requesting for an extra bath mat even we are staying for long and not even asking for a daily room cleaning in our entire stay. But when i asked to the reception they confirmed that they will provide FOC. 🤭

Outstanding customer service headed by OM Lorna and Roxanne. A few steps to the night market, good breakfast buffet. Maybe just try to improve the internet. Balcony overlooking Burnham park and a view of session rd on the other side. Will return!!! Thank you Lorna and Roxanne for the pleasant stay ❤️

Let’s start with the good

It’s just right beside Burnham Park and in the middle of the city so it’s accessible to most tourist sites. No worries with transportation as it’s full of jeepney and taxis.

✅ Price
It’s affordable for its location.

✅ Staff
They were friendly. They even gave us a complimentary upgrade. They allowed to leave our staff even when we checked out so we can buy souvenir.

The Cons

❎ The building is old. There’s only one elevator so don’t expect. If you want newer facilities, you can check-in at their other hotel at Session Rd. The room is old. We only had 1 key and we cannot request for a second key as they were old style manual keycards. Weird is rooms on 4th floor don’t have direct access to that floor. Just observed this as we stayed on the 5th floor.

❎ The linens were dirty. My friend and I had to double check the bed when we arrived. We saw hair and stains on the sheet. 🤢

❎ The heater on the shower wasn’t working. Bathroom floor was slippery (we almost slipped from the bathtub to the floor). Bathroom sink got clogged. Complimentary breakfast was okay. But don’t expect too much. The hall is old and just offers good food options.

Overall, If it’s just price and location - definitely recommend. But don’t expect a lot. It’s not as fancy as the new ones within the area. If you can splurge a little, check in with the newer hotels or even with its sister branch on Session Rd. If i would return here - probably if I just need a place to crash or am on a budget.

Only big benefit was the location. Building and facilities needs renovation to be at par.

For the money this hotel is very old and dated. Worst experience ever.

Sheets had mold stains, the bathroom was old; leaking faucet, very low shower pressure, a broken toilet seat, old worn-out towels. Slow Wifi, television reception was barely watchable

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. GO FIND YOURSELF A BETTER ONE WITH A BETTER PRICE & EXPERIENCE.

This place is more like a hostel. I would NOT recommend.

Hotel Veniz in Burnham was a good enough place when I first stayed there but the succeeding trips were quite a disappointment. When booking, always take with caution the rooms recommended in the default setting of their website. I learned a bad lesson when I trusted the system completely. Only after I have fully paid for the reservation did I learn that the room had no window and inaccessible by elevator.

If you are travelling with old people, this is particularly discomforting. But the uninitiated would click the reserved button right away since the systems give only four hours to pay or booking would be cancelled. Once payment is made, only then does information on the accommodation become available. You might be shocked to know that if you book separate rooms, they might be at different floors. Rooms offered at uniform rates are not necessarily identical in size, location, and view.

Last time, we were assured a family room but the place turned out to be too cramped, and while there was window overlooking Burnham Park, it was too high for a person of average height to look out into the sceneries outside, which basically defeats the purpose of having a room with a view. For some reason, I always end up getting these cramp, disappointing accommodations even when the price I paid was supposedly for the high-end type.

Another problem is parking. The basement is too dark and poorly-designed a novice driver would have a difficult time positioning his car especially those mid-sized SUVs. The basement ground is uneven, and with so many concrete pillars blocking the way, parking is a challenge. They have security at the basement but none of them is apparently able to drive. You have to do it on your own. Sometimes if you get to park at the inner slots, you will surely get blocked by other vehicles and it takes a while to page the owner to move his car aside in case you are leaving.

This place is not worth the trouble of staying there, I would suggest that one finds a better alternative, and avoid this hotel as much as possible.

It is so difficult to communicate with this hotel prior your booking because no one is answering their email and phones. Very inconvenient. They should check their communication procedures and ensure someone will answer every call on their phones.

I agree to the review that other than the location, this hotel is the worst! Thisis very near the market and the night market which i frequent on my visit so this is the best option for me to stay in.

I called thereir number since Monday and nobody answered or even called back.. The thing that made me furious was the answer of the recep that "they are always busy!" I ended up getting a room that I didn't want!

Atleast two ago, I wrote a stern comment about this and yet it didn't get any attention. I guess the word hypocrite would best describe it. They would give you thw thinking that they care but they actually don't.

I talked to their manager about this and the manager apologized and promised me that they will make sure that they will be able to answer my calls. Unfortunately, they do not care about their promise as I have called them all morning and no one answers. Sometimes the phone would be busy but still no call back or answer..

I did not checked into their Hotel as they were fully booked that weekend.In 2019 I stayed and like to have breakfast at Cafe Veniz but in 2023 I am shock how quiet they are and the place almost empty

I sadly had the worst experice or maybe I had high expectations. This is my review of cafe Veniz now I walked in Greeted by no one I orderd an American breakfast came with free coffee. Coffee came it was blend I ask for a glass of water but the manager made me feel I was asking for too much.

Their was no refill of water I put up my hand to ask but was ignored. Staff were behind the counter talking ok only 3 tables in the restaurant 5 people and slow service??

The food finally came but it was not to a cafe expectation of Veniz hotel. Food small bread slightly cold.Their were eggs but no one one offered I put up my hand ignored staff still talkiny..

Overall the worse breakfast experience their slogan more than a cafe.. I dont so next time I go next door to Mcdonalds at lest better service and food.I wont come again.

Very nice location. Right beside the wet market and Burnham park. We just requested for a chair because we don't have one in the room. The first attempt, it took more than 30 mins still the chair hasn't arrived yet so we called again and said to bring it later since we were to go out. Then we came back and before we went up to our room, I asked again the front desk about the chair. They kept on insisting it was for additional chair but we don't have any chair in the room. It arrived faster that time. Also the dresser table was so dirty. It didn't look like it but when we wiped it, the tissue was all black. Everything else was fine with the stay. We will definitely be back again.

Other than a great location within the city of Baguio and across from Burnham Park, everything else was a complete disappointment. The complimentary breakfast was terrible and they wouldn't allow to take a plate for our daughter who slept in, even with a voucher for her. The breakfast was so disappointing that we went to did not use our free vouchers on other mornings.

It seems that at this hotel there is always some problem with the room. This time the room given to us had no TV, no phone, and no hot water kettle. Had to walk back down to front desk and was told to wait for another room! The lady at front desk was unfriendly from the very beginning and the process of moving to another room took about 30 minutes. This hotel really has many good attributes, am very hopeful that these little problems will go away soon as I do like this hotel very much.

This is the worst hotel that I've been.

First things first, we inquired through their FB page if they still have available room on our preferred date. They said they don't have and even if we will do walk in, they don't have.

Then we reach Baguio at 2AM, we tried to walk in. When we stepped in their lobby, we didn't hear any greeting from them.
2nd thing, they offered us standard room for 2 and we said yes. And they showed us break down of the things that we will pay, and they want to charge us 5000+ supposedly 3000+.
3rd, after few minutes of waiting, they were saying that they don't have available room already. And they offered us standard trio and we said yes. And they just gave us breakfast stub for the 2nd day.
4th, the room was so dusty!!! They didn't prepare the room.
5th, the room doesn't have BIDET, the heater of the shower is not working and telephone! We went to the front desk and requested for a room transfer, they just gave us telephone and they just showed us how the heater works.
6th, the toilet is leaking!!
7th some of the staffs are not friendly at all!

I've been to this hotel several times before and it was never a problem. We love the location because its just beside and across Burnham Park so when I stayed here last Tuesday night, June 21, 2022, for a business trip, I was co fident that my stay would be superb. But, I was wrong! It was the worst experience I ever had staying at a hotel!

I drove from the office and arrived late to the hotel so I was tired and rested for the night. When I woke up the following day, I found out that there were no towels and other things needed by a guest in a hotel (slippers, soap, toothbrush and tooth paste, shampoo and other stuff) so I was not able to take a bath that morning and just washed my face before going out to the market to do the survey. I used the blanket to wipe my face. I told the front desk about it and after the market survey, I went back to the hotel to freshen up and leave for pangasinan. I got the things I need from the front desk and went up to my room. I opened the comfort room and there was a poop in my toilet bowl! That person even left the tissue he/she used to wipe his/her ass! I never use tissue when I fo that so that certainly was not me! It was so grossed that I flushed it at sight and called reception to ask for a manager. They didn't even emphatize about what happened! I am never going back to this hotel!

The hotel overall needs an up grade. The room is out dated.

Perhaps one of the most selling point of this hotel is its location and affordable rate, and probably also the reason we choose it. Booking this hotel was a breeze and even got confirmation email, got assisted with making sure the tourist pass dates are same as with our check in and out date. We opted for a standard triple room located on the 4th floor but upon checking the room, it has no windows and the AC is not working well, one of my companion asked for a different room and they were able to get us a deluxe room on the 6th floor for an additional fee facing Maharlika Center. The room has a Queen bed and a Single bed with all your standard room amenities. Take note though as this room is facing a busy area tent to be a little noisy.

The room comes with a free plated buffet breakfast with limited options from scrambled egg, tocino, tapa, and fish. Breakfast is not to be proud of; nothing fancy or even inviting. If you want just to fill your tummy then their breakfast is to go. By the way, if you opt to have your breakfast delivered to your room pay P30.
There was a time when the remote control of the tv was not working a helpful man came in to have a new remote delivered. As for my friend who dealt with front then with the overall stay, he has no problem dealing with them as all his queries was attended.

Overall, a no frills hotel, nothing fancy. If you just need a room to sleep and roam in the daytime, go here. Close to almost everything, Burnham, Night Market, Baguio Market to name a few has helpful people to deal with.
