Turned on shower and water was not draining, plughole was full of hair and blocked so obviously wasn't cleaned before we got there.
Stayed for 2 nights no cleaning service for room to exchange towels or provide more toilet roll or tea/coffee supplies
Went for dinner the first night at 7pm, it was after 9pm before our dinner arrived and we were asked of we would be ok with starters and mains arriving together which is what happened after 2 hours.
First morning of breakfast there was no fruit at 8.50am we were told if there is none left then that is it no more is available/coming even though breakfast is served til 10.30 am.

Asked for iced latte at breakfast which was on the menu given to us, we were told it wasn't available (even though we were willing to pay for it and didn't expect it to be included)
First day we had lunch when we arrived, waitress told me when I was paying it was lucky we arrived when we did because the chef had since left and there was no more lunch service available.
Overall, a very understaffed and badly run hotel that had 2 bars but I witnessed bars "running out of ice, glasses and tonic water for gin".
One member of staff running a very busy bar making cocktails ( which seemed popular because of cocktail summer special advertised all over the bar). The same staff member was expected to run the full bar and take food orders on a very busy night when the sports bar was full of people eating and or drinking and watching the world cup.

Breakfast was excellent. Friendly staff freshly cooked food relaxed atmosphere
Reception staff, dark haired lady, extremely helpful and friendly
Beautiful beach nearby and convenient for ferry port

Pros:

Rooms comfortable

Cons:

Waited @ Check in for nearly 10 minutes. Receptionist eventually turned up reeking of cigarette smoke.
Elevator broken, no assistance with luggage.
Breakfast serving took an extra ordinarily long time.
Booked a table for evening meal. When arrived @ restaurant, table wasn't ready. Staff were rude. When eventually seated waited 1 & 1/2 hours for meal after ordering.

It was grim. I won’t be returning and I would not recommend it.
Pros:

The only good things about this hotel are its staff and its location.

Cons:

The bedroom was painted battleship grey, carpet and curtains grey also so it was all very dark and depressing.The bathroom was very shabby with paint peeling off the walls and woodwork. The chain on the bedroom door was broken. Breakfast was basic.

What was advertised is different to how it is, general hotel could do with an over haul.
Pros:

The food was lovely and the staff very helpful and friendly

Cons:

The rooms could do with a paint job & light maintenance, and as your at it brighten the colours, both in the rooms and restaurant.
Better television service also
Lifts were also out of use and we were on the 3rd floor

Ideally situated to get the early morning ferry.
They offered continental breakfast as we were too early for cooked. Then ferry was delayed so we enjoyed the cooked breakfast.

Cons:

A little dated. Bathroom door wouldnt shut properly as wall was leaning outwards. Lift out of order.
