GrandView Hotel & Convention Center

They have stupid awful rules nowhere else ℹ have been in has. They are the worse hotel I’ve ever been in and I lived and worked around the world for twenty years. They are the worse most stupid place to be in

I would characterize my stay at GrandView Hotel & Convention Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina as quite disappointing. I came at a time when the seasons were changing from winter to spring. Now, I stayed for a week and half of that week was disastrous. I cannot stay in a hot or warm room because I have a heart condition and I always ensure that the hotel I pick has airconditioning. It was annoying when they have these airconditioning dials in every room, but basically they are there to regulate the room temperature and not really for A/C. My room was like a sauna for the first night which made me just open the windows because I can't sleep and it's already 4am. I complained thinking this was just a broken A/C to be checked and repaired. The next night they said it was already fixed, but nothing still the same. I couldn't sleep until 4am. I spoke with someone at the reception and they told me that the building's HVAC is centralized, so in colder months it's all just heating and no cooling! I told them I have this health condition that I cannot be in a warm room and their answer to me was pretty much dishearting for me to repeat here. They said I can just turn off the AC/heating and just open the windows! How ridiculous of an answer is that from their management!

The room also doesn't have any refrigerator, so you cannot have cold drinks such as cold water in a hot day of walking around and exploring the city. There are no complimentary water bottles either and no coffee just

Nice hotel but I wouldn't class it as a 4 star hotel by UK standards.
Even after checking in online it took 15 mins to check in at reception.
Our "Superior double room" was very basic. There was a kettle but no tea or coffee provided. There's a fridge but no water or other drinks in it.
The room was clean and the bed was big and comfy.
The swimming pool is not available out of season, it's outdoors.
Breakfast was very basic; Pastries, bread, cheese and ham, fruit and yoghurt. On the weekend it was very busy.

Location is good for exploring the city.

Flew in early morning, 7:00am, not only they not allowed me get and early checkin, they were giving rooms to people that came later than me and my room was not ready until 3 pm. Seems like they delayed my room everytime I asked, and only asked when i got there and then at 1 because they told me and then at 2 when checkin was scheduled. Then the bar has nothing but 2 types or beer (not even locals) and one cheap wiskey that only they know.
Not going there again.

Good hotel the staff no good , vip bad and not upgrade or check inn early, nobody help with luggage and one gay on the counter for prevention or loss so why a prevention gay in the counter for prevention what? Ita unsafe

A hidden gem not to be missed

Room was small, no air-conditioning, room was a little warmer, the faucet was not inside of the bathroom, no fridge, no iron, breakfast was disappointed, no eggs just a regular continental breakfast everyday the same.
Una habitación matrimonial muy pequeña, el desayuno lo mismo todos los dias, el lavadero ubicado fuera del baño, no plancha, pocas toallas, no hay fridge. Es un hotel del 1 al 5 estrellas lo consideramos
3 estrellas.

I liked the location and areas to shop. I didn't like that I wasn't offered to check in early 😕

Gostei bastante do hotel, fica junto ao centro de Buenos Aires, e bem acolhedor e bem rapido no serviço de quarto.

The location, close to the Congress/ Assembly. Check in was good but later I asked to change my room due to smell issues but unsuccessful. It should have been simple SWAP but management refused to do it though plenty of options available.
The furniture was old and unhygienic especially the Sofa, study chair which was replaced later on. I had a suite but without coffee table. The towels were pretty old.
The manager is not paying attention to the property and wasting resources, even the chairs at the reception needs repairs not a good sign. Management should not waste such a good property and with few tweaks and procedural changes it can be a world class facility.
Few other guests in the Lobby/ elevator share the similar thouths.

I will stay in the place again . I will recommended , very friendly staffing made huge difference

Very clean. Spacious room. The restaurant has good service. Just excellent!
