Maya Cave

The covered terrace just outside the room had a tremendous view of the valley. You could see the balloons in the morning. The breakfasts were plentiful and very tasty. Breakfast was served on the terrace. The room had a wardrobe with a safe inside. The safe needed new batteries and they were replaced right away. The bed was comfortable. The radiator provided sufficient heat when it got cold at night. Bottled water was provided. Shampoo and shower gel were provided. There was a fireplace in the room though unused.

Where do I start? We could not fault our stay at Maya Cave, my goodness, it's incredible and the location & view will be forever imprinted in our memories. Pigeon Valley at night is something to behold! Honestly, if we could have, we would have stayed longer!
Easy walk to Uchisar, which was such a lovely village, lots of restaurants, quirky eating spots and the people were so friendly, they really made our trip! A five minute taxi ride to Goreme, the taxi's are located at the top of the path for about 300 lira - a cheap and easy way to spend a fabulous day shopping and eating :)
OMG, the breakfast was outstanding! Breads, cheeses, spreads, juices, pastries, olives, eggs, coffee - you won't go hungry, we didn't need lunch. We had our breakfast on the terrace and wow, what a view it was! Get up early & watch the balloons, it's worth the early start!
Our room was gorgeous -clean, very comfy beds and the room was toasty warm. The shower was tops, good pressure and temperature. The hotel is beautiful, small and quaint, just what we needed for 2 friends travelling.

Our hosts - Funda, Ben, Mede (sorry if my spelling of names is wrong!) and the beautiful staff were so attentive and friendly, we felt like part of the family. In fact, we spent an evening chatting together with wine and other hotel guests, a perfect end to our days. They also packed us breakfast for our very early departure to Kayseri airport.
Thank you so very much for caring for us during our stay. Uchisar and Türkiye, exceeded our expectations and we were so sad to say goodbye.

Friendly staff and very helpful staff. My Husband left his phone in the taxi and they helped us recover the phone , amazing! The breakfast was amazing.

We had the room with a private patio with the arches and absolutely loved it! The breakfast was amazing and the views were stunning. Ali was very friendly and enthusiastic about helping us every step of the way. Since it's really close to the center and the castle, we could walk around very easily to find tours, restaurants and taxis within a 5 minute walking distance. Wifi worked really well as we had a router in the room. The roof terrace allowed us to have a good view of the hot-air-balloons in the morning. The hotel is overall pretty quiet.

The staff was absolutely incredible. So attentive and also set up every experience that I desired! The breakfast was huge and always ready when I woke up. I cannot overstate how kind everyone was and just so happy that I was staying there. Also, the bed was soooo comfortable I just melted into it.

Kaldığımız oda çok soğuktu. Gün içerisinde bir kaç kez uyardık, sabah kalktığımızda yine aynıydı. Petek ısısını yükselttiklerini söylediler ancak kesinlikle yeterli değildi. Elinizi yorgandan dışarı çıkarmaya yeltenmeyeceğiniz kadar soğuktu. Konaklamanın 2.Ve 3. Günü rahat ettik biraz, çünkü bir adet portatif fanlı sobalarını aldık. İlk gün tamirde olduğunu söylemişlerdi. Çalışanlar çok güleryüzlü. Temizlik fena değil ancak lavabo kokuyor biraz.

Location is excellent, great views including the hot air balloons at dawn. Breakfast was very good. Maya Cave Hotel was definitely a good choice.
