Pros:

Having travelled to Phon Charoen area for the last 16 yrs I understand the hotel maybe out dated but I could not stay as the room was so dirty with animal (I'm guessing mouse) droppings around the bed and the bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned for years. Will not book here again

Hot Day in Thailand Time for a Swim
Pros:

The resort was as expected for for a village area of Issan Thailand.If your looking for 5 Star accomondations this is not the hotel.
We stayed one night and enjoyed the use of the pool .Nearby relatives joined us for a swim and dinner at a nearby restaurant

The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms (there was even a tv by the shower), and high quality service. Also, they are one of few hotels that allow people under 21 to book a reservation

This hotel was not designed for foreigners. There was this horrible oder whenever we walked into the room,there was no room service and they said they would spray the room to kill mosquitoes, never happened. Moslty everything in the room was in a bad condition the remote was broken, the tap was broken, the shower head kept coming off and even the aircon had tissue holding it in place as the swivel was broken.The beds were horrible and was very hard. The pool was disgusting it was full of insects and wasps its very unsafe to be there. Unfortunately there is very limited places to stay in this area.

Pros:

Turfan Hotel and Tigger Park park was great fun for the kids and a good value for the price. Of course the room was small and the furnishings were very basic, but the staff went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible. A stay longer than two days would have been difficult. We are curious to try one of the poolside bungalows next time.

Pros:

+ Overall a clean a pleasant place for a stopover in this big village. Swimming pool a welcome feature after long hours driving. I stayed in a bungalow (I had a choice with a motel type room).

- No breakfast. Only coffee and biscuits available by the pool
