Budget hotel
Pros:

Strange location, didnt give an imptession of being safe for three women. Lots of mosquitoes in one of the two rooms we booked. Comparing both rooms i found they came through the bathroom slatted window. Insect mesh was missing in one window. Sheets and pillows had stains. The fan would not regulate the speed. 5 was superfast and roaring and 4 slowed down to where you could almost see each blade. The sink was slanted and worried me that it would fall off. No toilet roll provided.
Positives: aircon worked well. Room service was quick and staff were helpful. Breakfast was included but unlike most hotels the breakfast was available only at 8.30am. Srirangam, being a temple town where people would leave early for darshan, this seemed a little too late, most hotels offer breakfast by 7 am. At 8.30 we just managed to get idlis and chutney, sambar not ready, and coffee. Idli chutney and coffee were very good though. The price for a room was much steeper through hotels.com than booking directly at the hotel about double.
