We were in chalet outside hotel which was fine
Pros:

The chalet had only just recently been refurbished and not quite finished off with the touches you need plus only crockery and towels for two although I had booked for three. I also booked to include my dog but she was not allowed to stay due to new carpet! Luckily our relatives lived in Ornesby St Margaret so looked after her. She would have frozen if left in car. The food at wake was very good and the whole area nice and quiet considering the hotel had a very late night bar.

Disappointing
Pros:

Having eaten once before at this hotel, we decided to stay overnight before travelling home.
The staff were friendly and helpful but appeared to be far too busy. On enquiring about breakfast we were told that it started at 10am. This was far too late for us, so we declined to order it.
On entering the room, which is part of a suite obviously intended for holiday use, we found it cold, though the temperature later became satisfactory after switching on the wall mounted electric heaters. There were no bulbs in the reading lamp or in the ceiling light above the table and the bedside lamps had no sockets available. The headboard was askew. The bathroom had no curtains or blind, though the window had patterned glass.
We left at 8:30 am but found we could not check, out as the main building was closed and locked, so the key was put through the letter box. This was OK since we had prepaid.

Pros:

I have already submitted my comments, in short term, it needs maintenance on small jobs done quickly to please the client.
My 4 nights stay was frustrating.

Pros:

We had a wonderful overnight stay this past weekend. Our room was newly refurbushed and absolutely massive (we had the honeymoon suite). The staff were all lovely as well. On the Saturday night there was a live band playing who were also excellent. We, admittedly, could hear the band from our room which I really enjoyed although it may not be for some. They have an excellent restaurant with great food. As vegetarians we tried their veggie burger which was great. They also have their own lager (Smokehouse Pilsner) which is one if the nicest lagers I've ever tasted. We left the hotel very happy and even came back on our journey home to see if we could buy some of their beer. Unfortunately they don't sell it in bottles or cans. All in all, a great stay.

Disappointing
Pros:

Room aesthetics not my taste but it was the lack of attention to normal necessities that made the experience terrible. Kettle provided to make tea provided complementarily, but had to take the water from the sink tap in the bathroom; curtains not hung well in bedroom; bedside table light couldn’t be plugged in so it didn’t work; no toilet paper holder so loo paper had to sit on window sill; bathroom mirror on floor; no toilet seat lid; no hooks to hang towels on; no hot water - at best lukewarm. Only redeeming feature was the bed being comfortable.

Great for families.
Pros:

2 bedroom family suites are newly renovated and ideal for groups of 4 to 6. Close to beaches and Great Yarmouth. Friendly pub. Unfortunately, there is no breakfast available.

Disappointing
Pros:

Appreciate it was a late booking. Lovely size chalet, nice play area were the positives. Started badly as staff told us we were lucky and in a refurb chalet then ran off (clearly realised their mistake). Fence panel was down leaning against room. Chalet had a musty horrible dog smell. Furniture non matching old and beds stained. Fridge and kettle ancient. Lots of damage and marks to walls and door kicked in. Frames etc just sitting around and no blinds with peeling paint upstairs. Plug sockets not fixed properly. No matter what we tried could not get wifi to work. Overall very disappointing with a lot of attention needed.

No breakfast
Pros:

We booked one of the attached chalets for 2 nights. At first everything seemed fine. However althought the chalet had been refurbished things weren't working for us. There was a small sette which looked as thought the legs had been swan off and the seat was about a foot off the ground. We are not as young as we were and couldn't get up form it. Just as well we had some camping chairs to sit on.

Only other chairs were very hard and oddly shaped. Three of the light bulbs didn't work. the Mirror had fallen off the wall in the bathroom. the Curtain rail had fallen off iin the bedroom and the clock had stopped..

We had a meal the first evenning. Cheap and cheerful but pub grub at very cheap prices. We were then informed that breakfast STARTED at 10am, ot perhaps 9am if really puched. As we had to be away by 9am we had no breakfast. There were no facilities in the room for any DIY breakfast either only a kettle with tea and coffee..

If you want a good B & B don't stay her.

Not for families, confused offering.
Pros:

Not very well run. Not very clean. Rather odd mix of facilities as they can't seem to decide whether this is a local boozer or family friendly pub and accommodation. I would not recommend this for families as it stands.
