Loved the location, the spacious, comfy room and gorgeous views. Plus, we were able to try golf which was fun.
A minibar/ fridge would have been helpful
Breakfast excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was spotless but sadly no air conditioning which was a must for the hottest June recorded. There was a fan.

The shower door was difficult to operate.
We thought the breakfast was exceptional and had nice touches not often seen with other hotels ie the fresh fruit, yoghurt and croissants. The location suited us very well as we were easily able to walk alongside the golf course to Rutland water and from there walked to the nature reserve to see the ospreys.
If I had to find fault I would say the toilet seat was rather stained.
Was a lovely property. We were given a deluxe room, with a very large en-suite. Windows on all sides, with lovely views of the golf course and surrounding countryside.! It just blow me away how nice it all was
The only thing I would say I didn’t like. Was that it was a place most people went to for playing golf. So the bar and reception closed early. It would have been nice to get a drink in the bar before going to bed. Yet we understand why they would close.
The room was lovely with double aspect windows, the breakfast was delicious and substantial, the staff were friendly and helpful, the bed was really comfortable, lovely walk down to Rutland Water. If iI was in the area I would stay again

The room was not clean it had not been hooverd there was no toilet paper so had to go down to the bar to ask for some the breakfast was served in a room that was full of cobwebs and it was very unpleasant the breakfast was basic and not very well cooked

Location was perfect for us and the food was really nice.
Lovely clean modern rooms. Nice decor. Staff very friendly and extremely accommodating and flexible when we needed to arrange a later breakfast and later checkout due to delays we experienced whilst doing the Dambuster Triathlon. Breakfast was also good and plentiful.
Only thing to mention here is our toilet kept running all night long after the last flush of the night! Probably faulty ball valve but it was very late to call anyone and we had an early start next day so we put up with it which did disturb my sleep but can't complain about it as we never flagged it to them to sort at the time.
We made the cleaners aware the next day.

Because it's a golf club the bar and restaurant close at 4 pm. Note that rooms are not suitable for people with mobility issues

Was a nice touch for the lady to call me 2 days before saying that I can check in any time, no need to wait.
Allowed me to store my bike in a dry place.
Room is very small. It is by far not a 4 start accommodation as advertised. The window is just a small something at the carpet level. At night there was a party and it was heard (nothing too problematic, but I could hear it).
Nothing around in 3km area. That usually a plus, but there was no food at the place itself, and it was raining.
It's a golf club. Go there if you want to play golf. Don't go there otherwise.

As the rooms surround the beer garden, this could be an issue in the Summer months. Rooms not well insulated from this.
Breakfast was fantastic with local produce and plenty of it. Room was lovely, clean and nicely presented.
The rooms have VERY thin walls and we had someone in the next room watching TV til very late which kept us awake. I doubt it was even on that loud but the walls are so thin.
