There is supposed to be free shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel, but they do not answer the phones to be able to speak to them where to pick the bus up
Do not stay at this property. With an early flight out, we chose this hotel for several reasons: gym, pool, airport shuttle, and bar. The gym and pool were not in this hotel. You had to walk to another nearby hotel and pay to use the pool and gym-almost $15 each USD. The bar was non-existent. There was a bar in the nearby hotel, but the service was terrible. They told us to sit in the lobby and they would serve us, but then they never came to take our order. After waiting over 1/2 hour, we finally found someone and helped them look through the bar contents to make a gin and tonic. The restaurant in the nearby hotel had very good food but it was very expensive. Over $50 USD for lunch. The roads around the hotel were flooded because of recent rains. When we came down in the morning to catch our previously booked shuttle bus to the airport, we were told the bus was cancelled. They said we had to call a cab and cover the cost ourselves. We just made our flight. Very frustrating all around.
The Qube Sanjiagang is very close to the airport and is a new hotel built on what I presume will be a large complex for tourists.
Hotel is pretty good but room service way too expensive. Room was pretty good and pretty good value for money.
As mentioned with other reviews, nothing at all around the hotel so stuck for dining options - so you have no choice but pay the exorbitant hotel food prices.
I probably wouldn't stay here again due to location and room not being as good as shown in the photos.
They charged me for the room and now I have to dispute it with my credit card company...please help if you can hotels. Com...
This hotel is quite near to Pudong airport, just around 10-15 minutes by complimentary shuttle bus only. Room is big and clean. However, air-con does not work properly. Only wind come out, but not cool at all. Luckily, outside temperature is around 16-22 degree; so we can just open window to get fresh and cold air outside. My friends staying in the other room also got the same issue. So it could be air-con system of hotel that got problem.
Excellent hospitality from the entire staff. Very clean and beautiful hotel. I would definitely book this location again.
The stuff are warm and ready to help with great hospitality, the food covers people from variety of places, the place is calm and beautiful, hoping to come back sometime later. I would give it 5.5 definitely 👌🏽
Stayed here prior to departing flight from PVG. Picked this over a closer hotel (with more famous name) because I could get a jr. suite for the same price.
Hotel is new, clean, modern. Room was spacious, OK view of river, ocean.
Cons: AC was underpowered, like most areas in China.
Breakfast buffet was understocked. I ate at 9 (open from 6:30 to 10) and the staff didn't seem interested in restocking anything.
Limited English among staff.
Free shuttle to airport only runs every 80 minutes.
Modern furniture (sofa, desk char) were way to small and uncomfortable. I'm not huge; 6'1" 200lbs.
In hindsight, I should have stayed closer with the airport, since the benefit of the suite was wasted on me.
Note: There are two QUBE hotels in Pudong. This is the extremely new one in Greenland Resort next to Primus hotel. It’s so new that there are NO shops around (except for a tiny lobby stop in the QBox hotel next door). The buffet food is pretty average and since there’s not much choice around, it is the only thing you can have (note that the food is only lukewarm!)
Being in the middle of nowhere, you’ll have to take a taxi out and make sure you have online maps to direct the taxi to bring you back! Costs anywhere from 30-60 yuan one way. Taxi to the Bund is about 170-200K yuan one way but can cost >300K in the middle of the night (night rates?) but well worth the trip to the Bund!
The room itself are fabulously new, soft towels, housekeeping keep it fantastically clean. Air conditioning is a bit cold and despite turning on the heat setting and to 30 degrees, was unable to make it above 21 degrees. Big rooms too. Slight noise from planes as it’s in the flight path and music from the grounds. Regular shuttle buses to PVG. Gym is in primus hotel with beautiful views and the lobby lounge is not staffed, so you have to go to primus too if you want a nightcap. Overall not bad if you’re just here for the conference centre without going out.
Newer hotel primarily designed for business travelers with its proximity being near the airport, and a free shuttle transfer. It's surburban location in the middle of many new high rises, taking away any views, is not great for visiting Shanghai. Comfortable rooms and amenities. Nice buffet breakfast.
It is better than most 5* hotels i have stayed in. The only down side are it is too far from downtown Shanghai, but great for catching flight because it is close to PVG airport. Also there were extensive bird droppings on the patio outside my suite. They have been there for a while. I guess the patio has not been used for a while because weather is very cold now.
Very good. Got upgraded as well to hotel Primus within same campus
Brand new hotel in premier quality!
Best breakfast I have ever had around the world.
Superb coffee with excellent service.
The shuttle was not at the airport at the specified time, so we shared a private transfer with another couple, who also experienced the following.
The QUBE would not / could not accomodate us. We were transferred to another hotel, Primus, in a very drafty "golf buggy", no heating, temperature, 0C, at 23.00.
The hotel was great but built in the most uninhabited area... the hotel name has been changed to Primus and there was no information so we reached QUBE after going thru a deserted road and the driver was re-directed to take us to Primus just above QUBE... the language barrier did play up at the check in... overall, great rooms but would be wary of staying there
Excellent new property love the new property its lovable property and the property is very clean and the property is much like a palace
The hotel staff fraudulently took money out of my iTunes account after they took a pic of my phone ID, when I informed the internet was not working. My bank and Apple has been investigating the fraudulent purchase of approx. $2500 made out of my account.
Stayed 1 night in transit. We were moved to the next door Primus Hotel so can’t comment exactly on the Qube. The Primus however is amazing, or at least will be whe it is finished. Airport shuttle doesn’t really work if you’re arriving at Pudong, it’s impossible to find. Metered cab should be 50RMB. Make sure you say the Pudong Qube because there are 2. Breakfast was awesome.
English is limited but passable. Messages with the hotel prior to arrival were excellent. Ask for shuttle schedule via messaging prior to arrival. Pick up at airport terminal #1 as across street from Arrival Hall EXIT #9. Wait at the Hotel stop (I think sign says Radison or Ramada).Your shuttle bus says Q-Box, QUBE, and a couple others.
