Super experience! Great value!
Pros:

Our stay was fantastic! We stayed on our wedding night, and they let us check in super early (~1130AM) on a Saturday because it was available. This allowed us to use the room to get ready and take a few photos pre-wedding. Even our photographer was shocked by how awesome the room was, because it's one of the less common wedding stay locations. Everything was very clean and in good condition. The pillows are nice and fluffy (down or down alternative). The windows were large and magnificent, allowing an unobstructed view from our corner room. They left us a sweet treat, a note, and bottle of champagne that we found when we returned to the room after the wedding - so sweet! The only teensy issue was that there was not a functioning mini fridge - if you'd like to refrigerate things, just know that you will want to pay $10 extra for them to bring up a working fridge! (by the way, they did this for us at 3AM to keep our wedding cake leftovers cool).

Cons:

Only issue at that price point there should be the option of free parking. Not a mandatory $45+tax & tip. That adds up quickly

Perfect spot to access all that Pittsburgh has to offer!
Pros:

Just stayed at the Ritz and the Oaklander was way better. Staff was great including the concierge who I tipped more than once! Restaurant was excellent and the views outstanding.

Cons:

Nothing!

Pleasant and knowable staff. Lovely clean space and high quality amenities.
Pros:

Lovely historic, well tended building. But it has modern facilities and a really high quality restaurant.

Cons:

The seats at the bar were really uncomfortable. They slant forward and hard to sit in.

Restaurant/ bar closed on Friday for private event with no other eating onsite. When it was open we and others left without ordering at times because the wait time for servers were terrible.

Pros:

Comfortable and convenient. However, room furniture seems old and outdated. Old Lamp next to bed did not work (switch, not bulb).
Only restaurant and bar in facility was closed Friday from 2PM to closing for a private event. No other options other than room service for food or drink.

I stayed at Oaklander a year ago. When my business required me to travel to Pittsburgh again I knew I wanted to stay at this lovely hotel. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize there were two autograph collection hotels in Pittsburgh. And I mistakenly booked myself into the industrialist. On the day of my arrival I discovered my mistake and cancelled my reservation at the Industrialist and drove over to the Oaklander where I was fortunate enough to encounter Bailey who graciously found me a room for my whole stay and turned a stressful situation into a very pleasant experience. Very grateful for her hospitality.
