Really welcoming.
Pros:

Exceptional service. Friendly and really good at what they do. Incredibly kind and helpful.

Cons:

That record temperature was always going to be a stretch but a small fan in the room would have been nice.

Staff were brilliant and friendly, and the location is handy just off the M5.
Pros:

the staff that was the only thing

Cons:

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing stay. The room itself felt tired and unclean, with worn, threadbare carpets that clearly haven’t been replaced in a long time.

The communal areas are in desperate need of renovation – water stains on walls and ceilings, peeling wallpaper, and an overall neglected feel.

Cleanliness was a major issue. In the bathroom, there was a dirty plastic glass and hairs left on the shower curtain, which is simply unacceptable.

Overall, the hotel feels run down and poorly maintained. With some serious investment and attention to cleanliness, it could be improved, but in its current state, I wouldn’t stay again.

My room was exactly what I wanted, the right balance between price and facilities.
The service was outstanding.
Two lads saw us through our stay from an excellent dinner and a great breakfast as well as storing our bikes overnight.

Cons:

Nothing.

We didn't stay.
Pros:

Gemma and the staff we spoke with.

Cons:

I am sorry to say that we did not stay in the end. Gemma had been excellent in the lead up to our stay. As we had travelled to attend a funeral, she made a room available for 11am.
The approach to the room was very tatty and the room very dated and again tatty. The bathroom did not get any better. We changed into our clothes ready for the funeral and made alternative arrangements. A very expensive changing facility as it turned out.
I am sorry to have to leave such a negative review but that is how it was.

Good Stop Over location for a bike trip, shame the Bar did not stay open in the evening
Pros:

Check in time was good and when we arrived no issues with getting access to our room.
Very busy for a Sunday as when we arrived,, there was Sunday Lunch being served for patrons so staff where slightly busy.
As the Inn would close when the last people eating left the while Inn would close, so we ate when there ahead of closure.
Room was clean and tidy and big enough as a twin.
Beds where comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent
Staff very friendly and helpful

Cons:

Maybe I did not read the details sufficiently enough but on the Sunday after we arrived, when the last person left after Sunday Lunch, the Inn would close so no chance of getting drinks in the evening.

May have been OK for other people stopping but we where disappointed

No taxis available when we tried to get one to get into Wellington, but his may have been because it was a Bank Holiday
