Lovely location very close to the beach. We were in the annexe which was clean and comfortable

Dette var valuta for pengene og et kjekt sted å overnatte på vei videre på vår rundtur i Skottland. Rommene var greie nok, men det var veldig rent og sengene var gode. Vi synes absolutt vi fikk valuta for pengene her. Standarden er på et vis enkel, men samtidig manglet vi ikke noe. Beliggenheten er jo nydelig, men det er ingen fasiliteter i nærheten. Du må tenke på dette i forhold til mat og spising. Hyggelige betjening og lave skuldre. Litt familiær stemning blandt gjestene - hyggelig.
Egentlig ikke noe. Man må bare vite hva man kommer til slik at forventningene stemmer med det man møter. Men her sover man godt, får en OK frokost og nydelige omgivelser.

I liked the location of the property. It sits in beautiful grounds close to the beach. The cooked breakfast was good.
I didn’t like the ‘wing’. The rooms were very basic and in need of maintenance and a higher standard of cleanliness. Found chewing gum in the kettle! The one good thing about the room was the view of the garden. Imrie’s Bar and Grill was closed due to staff absences which meant no food was available in the evening.

The air quality was unbearable:
Terrible smell: The room reeked of a chemical chlorine scent mixed with mold. The stench was so persistent that it stayed on my clothes even after I returned home.
No airflow: Windows could only be opened by 10 cm and the ventilation fan was broken (it actually fell off), making it impossible to clear the toxic air.
Lack of maintenance: Black mold in the bathroom grout and a very noisy, leaking faucet.
Safety: The kettle was non-detachable from the power lead, which is both impractical and unsafe.
Overall, the suffocating atmosphere and the smell made this stay a very bad experience.
Lovely scenic location. Ample parking. Edwardian house with history and character, short walk to the beach and nice grounds. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Room clean and comfy with tea and coffee provided. Peaceful nights sleep. Great little stop off point on way up to the North Coast.
A stronger central light in the room would be helpful.

We loved the warm welcome from friendly staff; the lovely views of the gardens from our room; the smart en suite shower room; the complimentary bottles of water and good qualty teas in our room; the tasty Scottish breakfast, cooked to order; the peace and quiet; the proximity to stunning Lunan Bay.
Some updating required in some areas but this did not have a massive impact on our very pleasant dtay.
This lovely period property stands in beautiful grounds. The hotel is very dog friendly with loads of room for them to run around outside. Dog friendly beach is on the doorstep. Excellent breakfast and super friendly staff. Top marks!

The sound proofing wasn't good in our room and there was a lot of noise with people talking in the corridor for a while and dogs barking.
