Great location, nice evening meal.
The staff behind the bar weren’t very good. Quite abrupt, when I first asked about the food menu, they pointed to two blackboards, when I asked about the small choice- they both abruptly pointed out the biggest menu options.
Had to source out a breakfast option as they didn’t’do’ breakfasts
It was a quite typical pub stay over, taken for convenience. The chap in charge was super friendly and helpful!
and we had a good meal in the pub that evening.
The bed was clean , big and soft , great nights sleep . Staff were good , food was ok
Dirty shower and toilet . Toilet seat loose . Light switches had an issue , lights flashing , either wired up wrong or a loose wire . A Local man in PJ bottom continuously swearing at bar
I wasn’t expecting much but my room had an outdoor patio, air con and the bathroom was spotless
The mattresses were ok but I’m used to better. Saying that, it was a cheap stay so I was pleasantly surprised
Spotlessly clean and Pete barman very good at his job
Nothing really
Easy parking, good size room with fridge and microwave etc made it handy.
It was very warm, the fridge made a very loud hum all night, at first I thought it was from outside but no way could you have closed the window.
Nothing
Everything
The room we had (2) had a fridge and a kitchen sink, making filling the kettle so much easier.. the window was an old sash unit that could be opened, providing a nice breeze.
Pillows were feather and not very substantial.
Great location and pretty quiet
Had trouble with WiFi, perhaps the code could be put in the room for guests rather than having to ask for it.
No breakfast. Modern spacious room, bathroom, bed. Comfort. Quiet.
Bathroom sink partially blocked. Otherwise all good.
The location was fantastic for what we wanted 10 mins from my friends house and 5 mins for the beer festival, which I would highly recommend. The staff were very friendly and the room was lovely, it just that the shower was bit broke and the bed was like sleeping on the floor too hard for us. The room could have been cleaner in the sense of dust on lights and walls and the chairs at the table. But overall we would try a different room at the same place.. 🙂
As above and cleanliness and the smell of food on the stairs
Good place to stay for a night or two if you are in the area, great value for money
The cleaning could be better. I don't expect a 5-star service of course, but even some basics are not met unfortunately and the bathroom was not very clean during our 2nd stay
Lovely pub, Great room.
Had a small kitchen with microwave in the room.
Very clean and comfortable accommodation, would recommend.
It wasn’t obvious where the car park was from the hotel. On arrival we had to ask a member of staff how to get there and were told to travel up the road and double back in ourselves. We got there in the end but I didn’t see any signs from the street
As a pet friendly hotel we came down to the restaurant with my little Yorkie and before we even had a chance to settle in the bar staff yelled at us to take the dog out of the restaurant area. There were no signs telling us dogs weren’t permitted and it felt humiliating and belittling. We left and got food elsewhere
