Exceeded our expectations, very good location, welcoming staff, very good price-comfort ratio.
Pros:

Service was supreme. The staff was very nice and welcoming, even on the check-out at 5 am, they gave us coffee and apologised that medialunas are not ready yet. Some of them spoke very good English. The beds were made every day, and trash was taken out (this is not happening even in star hotels, but here every day!). As for the Europeans, the breakfast choice was poor, but if you look at it the Argentinian way, everything is perfect. Also loved the option to use the communal fridge and kitchen. We used that quite a lot and were super satisfied. The location is also supreme, it takes you about 5 minutes to the central plaza and Chocolate Street, shops are close by, cafes, and everything.

Cons:

The noise from the street was too loud at night. No sound isolation whatsoever. The room was a bit too hot; an AC would have been nice, but since it was raining and cold all the time, the warmer room was a welcome feeling. The wi-fi could have been better; it was spotty and sometimes not working properly. The remote you have to ask for at the reception, and ours was not quite working, but we used our own methods to switch channels, and the TV was only for background noise since we don't speak much Spanish. You could see the windows were old and some other stuff, but for the price and comfort, it was a minor problem. There should be hot water in the kitchen to wash the dishes more comfortably, but then again, you can heat it up on the stove the old way.

Paños sucios en el baño.
