Pros:

Struttura bellissima, in un vero castello.
Ristorante molto buono
Il signor Giuseppe gentilissimo e professionale.
Nella stanza inizialmente assegnataci c'erano problemi ai rubinetti, dai quali cui non usciva acqua. Dopo le lamentele hanno provveduto immediatamente a cambiare la stanza.
La seconda stanza era davvero bella ed accogliente, con uno splendido terrazzo

Amazing stay
Pros:

The lovely spacious room with antique furniture.
The owners were so friendly, and happy to pass on some history of the Castle
The son, who is the front of house, server in restaurant, and general everything, was amazing. Such a nice fella too.
Restaurant food was gorgeous.
Location was amazing, with some breathtaking views.

Cons:

Internet was not great, but we didn't mind.

You should definitely stay here if you are in the area!
Pros:

What a beautiful place to stay! The rooms, the views and the food were amazing! The host greeted us and helped us to our rooms. He was also our server for dinner and breakfast and he made sure everything was to our liking. He went out of his way to make sure we felt like we were the only guests there. We walked around the little streets of Altomonte and it was beautiful!

Certainly a unique stay but for all the wrong reasons -we were so disappointed
Pros:

The bedroom was comfortable and clean
the views were outstanding

Cons:

We thought we had arrived at the wrong place as our stay was very different from the reviews. The photos of the dining area are misleading as they are of the function rooms - we ate in a dark dingy room(former stables) The terrace is no longer accessible and there is no outdoor seating ares(apart from bedroom balcony)Hot tubs are in more expensive rooms. The food was very disappointing. Communication with Guiseppe was via an electronic translator. We were the only guests

A luxurious back in time experience
Pros:

Giuseppe is the highlight. Despite a lack of English which actually added to the charm, he was ready, translator in hand to meet our every need. The room was furnished in authentic castle decor. Beware if you get a room with a jet tub. It lacks a shower and is very slippery. The rooms are immaculate. Dinner or even lunch is an experience not to be missed. Easily the best quality and value we experienced in Calabria. Oh and the view from the castle is stellar

No screens, noisy ac and slippery jet tub which is impractical to use for bathing or showering

When can you stay in an old castle in a small mountaintop town. Was amazing.
Pros:

Beautiful historic property with wonderful views. Giuseppe was a wonderful host. Rooms were large and beautiful with antiques furnishings. Breakfast was wonderful. Giuseppe recommended restaurants plus the restaurant at the hotel was very good.

Cons:

Very steep access but that is what gave the expansive views.

An incredible historical property that has worked to preserve its history. Antiques, beautiful furnishings. Steep hill to access but the views are magical. Giuseppe was amazing and patient with us . Restaurant was great. Delicious breakfast included.
