Great location, friendly staff!

I’ve stayed at Newquay Docklands about 4 or 5 times now and it’s always been great. This time I found the apartment I was in had a bit or wear and tear. The oven had baked on grease so smoked as soon as I turned it on then I tried to take an oven rack out and it all fell apart as there was a stew missing on one side, so I couldn’t use it. The cleanliness wasn’t so great this time very dusty behind the bed. Also plate had a crack and chip in it. I found the first floor very noisy too which is not the hotels fault but the rubbish trucks were outside at 3am emptying the bins so not a full night sleep for the entire stay.

Disappointing, wouldn’t recommend. Moved to Meriton for almost same price and it’s amazing!!!!!

Kitchenette was nice , new inside

Cons:

Staff upon checking in after a long day were very unwelcoming and almost rude . I requested two beds and got one and he looked at my reservation and said “ oh I booked with booking .com they put in incorrect photos to fool you!” After that they didn’t want to give us any service - he said the same with no laundry in our room as the pics showed . Travelled 20 hours to open drapes to see a side of a building :(

Clean, Convenient, Friendly
Pros:

Back here again for the second time as I had a lovely stay at the hotel the first round. Without a doubt, it is perfect too for this second time staying here. The area is peaceful and safe while being near the city grid. Free tram at the doorstep which takes you to Southern Cross and into the city. Woolworths supermarket and the mall is within walking distance to the hotel. Staff are friendly and cleanliness is top-notch.

Cons:

I had forgotten that there is no housekeeping on Sundays. Perhaps an information pamphlet or something about this can be placed in the room or the lifts to inform the hotel guests. The gym is a little on the smaller side and in a dark and quiet corner of the property with a closed door.
