Pros:

Very sweet little boutique hotel. Staff were excellent and room was airy and well-appointed (also very strong aircon!). Excellent location, just inside the fort and close to many food and shopping options.

Pros:

Excellent location in the heart of the Dutch wall fortress and right near international cricket ground. There was an amazing atmosphere and feel about the hotel and staff went above and beyond to help. lakmal was very helpful in explaining all food and entertainment for the evening. The rooms were spacious, clean and tidy and the blue and white crockery added to the feel of the hotel. Great value for money with the food being exceptional. The YARA hotel is a great choice for mid range to luxury traveller and this is the second of the group of hotels I have stayed in. Highly recommend.

Excellent Stay in the Galle Fort!
Pros:

We had a one night stay at Yara Galle Fort over the weekend, and everything about our experience was excellent!

The location is very convenient and makes it easy to explore the Fort on foot. Our room was amazing beautifully styled, quiet and spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed.

We only had breakfast at the hotel, as we went out in the evening, and it was great. The staff were friendly, attentive and showed us genuine Sri Lankan hospitality throughout our stay.

Thank you so much to the entire team! We highly recommend Yara Galle Fort and look forward to returning soon.

Lovely boutique hotel
Pros:

The location is terrific, a short walk to the main shopping and dining precinct, and the hotel has a peaceful central courtyard and comfortable seating to relax and recharge. The Sri Lankan breakfast was lovely, ice cream was delicious and coffee was good. Our room was lovely, quiet and comfy.

Cons:

We were a bit surprised that alcohol was not allowed, apparently due to proximity to a school, however there was a good choice of tasty mocktails. Our room looked out onto the central courtyard, so not very private, however it was a beautifully appointed room.

A clean and spacious stay in a perfect Galle Fort location, despite minor navigation confusion on arrival.
Pros:

Overall, this was a very good stay. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location is excellent, right inside Galle Fort, making it easy to walk to any part of the old town. It is also conveniently located about a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride from both Galle bus station and the train station.

Cons:

The only issue we encountered was with Google Maps walking directions. It initially led us along the fort wall by the ocean, where there was actually no accessible path, so we had to turn back and take a tuk-tuk instead. It is unclear whether this navigation issue has since been corrected.
