This was a cheap option but perfectly adequate. Hotel is dated but our room was clean and comfortable. Only issue was trying to get the tv to work!
There is no reception at the hotel. Fortunately door was open and someone was there to sort us out. We should have received a door code by email but never sent.
But these are all relatively minor issues. This is a budget hotel and you get what you expect.
We had tea and coffee supplies in the room as well as ensuite with toiletries.
Terrible stay, slept on top of bed as wasnt as clean as it should have been
Very dated, room cold and not insulated. No facilities in hotel, restaurant, bar, mini fridge in rooms. No staff and locked main door, had to call the hotel company to get them to send someone to open the door to check in.
Dirty plate on reception counter. Car park in dilapidated area with dangerous looking roofing and walls.
Overall bad stay for the price, similar priced places just up the street with way more going for them, just a shame they were booked up...
Ett enkelt hotell utan personal och restaurang. Billigt enkelt och helt ok för en natt.
Really disappointed in the condition of the hotel. The whole place smelt damp and the place needs a complete refit
I booked and paid for a comfort double room, on arrival i was given a single room. No other choice. Room 40 did have a double bed installed at some point as the foot post marking indents were clearly seen in the carpet, even though reception stated it bein to small for a double bed. Decor on walls grubby around switch ans 13amp socket outlets. Curtain was closed on arrival an looked grubby -staining at the edge or water marks.
Was good budget accommodation with first class accessories ie a jacuzzi.
No staff at night had to use online team who were able to fix our issues remotely.
Paid extra to be able to pay at premises and cancel if my plans would change but turns out that I still had to pay in advance and my stay was non refundable!
No staff at hotel whatsoever to help with anything. I had to call them to find out what room number I'm staying at! My pillows were with feathers and I'm allergic but couldn't change since nobody was at premises to help with anything! I'm really glad that I spent only about 10hrs at that place. I will do my best to avoid this particular chain in future.
Few problems checking in. Eventually got in. There were a few things we needed and I messaged and they were sorted out straight away. We were expecting a games room but were told they didn’t have one. This is featured on the advertisement. I suggest that pic is taking off. The room was standard and clean enough. Shower was great. There is a kitchen that you can use. Loads of shops to go in near by.
Room large and comfortable enough. Bathroom still had empty containers from previous guest in shower area.
Disagree with the £50 hold on my credit card which sti hasn't been removed after 3 days - and was more than the cost of the room itself.
Self service communal kitchen area was a nice addition.
Excellent service provided
I was never able to get the necessary check-in information to stay despite trying for three days prior.
The company behind this property is fraudulent and steals your money. It's impossible to plan a journey when the convoluted process is all done late on the day of arrival (At 6pm on the day of arrival the hotel was asking me for more things).
What ever you do, don't book this hotel. Scammers refused to refund me.
Didn't send me check-in details but I was given the door code when I called.
The hotel was not clean, no toilet rolls , period towels left in the bins not clean at all, would not stay again.
The hotel room was nice with good quality bedding and comfy mattresses. The tv was excellent. The room was obviously recently decorated. For a basic hotel it was good
However, the booking in system via Hotels.com was extremely cumbersome. We had booked online the day before. It excepted my booking and took my payment with a confirmation email. So far so good. It wasn’t until the following morning when I received an email from the hotel company requesting that I pay a security deposit and email proof of ID 72 hours before arrival- without having accessed to my time machine let alone an internet connection (being already in the car en route) such actions were not possible So stopping at a lay-by when a 4G signal could be found, I then spent 1/2 hour trying to find out how to do this. Eventually, after calling 3 different numbers suggested on their original email ( which I triple checked for references to deposits etc and found nothing useful) I finally spoke to one of their reps who insisted that that it was clearly indicated on the Hotels.com website (NO it wasn’t!). Finally he sent me a link to their deposit payment url and I paid for it from my lay-by in the wilds of Scotland. I was assured that the hotel staff would know to expect me and a door code would be emailed asap. Neither happened and I had to explain everything again to the nice bloke who finally let me in.
For a cheap hotel the facilities were pretty good, but communication was awful!
Great. Self service currently via secure key collection box. Rooms have proper locks and outside doors too so very safe.
