Great beach area and nice pool. Cabana was in pretty good shape but needed a little work. Microwave was dead. Restaurant service was slow, but food was decent. Food prices were reasonable, but major shock when we were billed $25 BZD each for a glass of fresh juice (was not on the menu) - more than our breakfast.

Great hospitality and food. Resort is laid back and peaceful. Sunset tour was fantastic.

The property was beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The casita was very spacious and comfortable. The restaurant had lots of options and a full bar. The location of the resort was such that the water was calm and accessible, even when the water in nearby corozal was very rough and choppy. If you are looking for nightlife, shopping and other activities this isn’t your place but if you want peace and relaxation then I would recommend staying here.

We had such a wonderful stay at Orchid Bay! David and his beautiful staff are always there to help, and accommodated us when we needed special care. Their generosity was outstanding. The only thing I feel needs to be updated is upon booking, it states 'all inclusive'. There is only an option for this as a special offer (see website). The restaurant has more than ample delicious and variety of foods. We have special diets, and were able to eat lots of items. The people who work at Orchid Bay are absolutely brilliant, and when we return to Belize, we will absolutely stay here again. The casitas are clean, and supplied with towels etc. It felt like a second home. We had a wonderful stay.

Great staff. Good food. Overall a fun place to visit. It seems like a Florida development that didn't take off. If you stay at the casitas (Walked the semi built lots adjacent & was a bit sad), it'll be great for a couple days. Ours was bigger than expected, but a couple dead lights & loose shower tiles get noticed after the first day. Highly recommend for two days, but not much more (and not sure about the all inclusive despite only the one restaurant) Really a great & so so place. Kayaking was great. People were great. Room was great. Limited beach & activity: not so great.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at Orchid Bay resort! With the brand new road that has opened, the process for arriving at Orchid Bay has been streamlined. It was only about an hour and a half to two-hour drive from the Belize City airport. The landscaping, flowers trees, and other flora on the resort property are absolutely gorgeous! The beachfront casita that we stayed in was Impeccably clean and well appointed. The restaurant on the property is casual and laid-back and has excellent food for every meal! You will definitely want to order the shrimp ceviche! I even enjoyed the custom iced coffee they made for me one afternoon. The excursions the resort offers are amazing! We did a day of snorkeling, and then also a three-hour sunset cruise to the nearby Maya ruins and up the New River. We both felt like it was an excellent value. I would definitely stay here again.

Super low key and quiet. Staff are awesome and very friendly and helpful.

A nice quiet place with beautiful views. Not a great drive there but they seem to be trying to improve the roads.

BEWARE!!! TOURIST TRAP!! Upon entry, there is a sign stating that you cannot bring outside food or drinks on the property. The place is in the middle of nowhere! It took over 2 1/2 hours to get there! How do you not pick up a drink or snack? THIS WAS NOT LISTED ON THE WEBSITE OR EXPEDIA. The room should have had a queen bed, 2 twins and a futon. The room had a queen bed, a futon with no blanket, and a dusty alcove where the beds should have been. EXPEDIA's site said there would be a dryer. Instead it was just a closet with mops and brooms.

They have signs up stating that being rude or unruly will not be tolerated. It seems like people have become upset with them before, so I was hesitant to say anything face to face. They also have you write your credit card info on a piece of paper. I've had my info stolen that way before.

A lady showed us the casita, but when I went back to the bar/restaurant/check in area to let them know the remote control needed new batteries. The lady said I forgot to tell you the bedroom TV didn't work. Then the other lady chimed in and said there is no cable. None of this was listed on EXPEDIA or their website. There were no concessions made. They just kept nonchalantly cracking open beers, drinking and eating chips.

The nachos and shrimp were overpriced. The shrimp was popcorn shrimp from a box with 15 fries.
