Unfortunately, however, I have a few complaints about our experience.

We accidentally booked a two-night stay for a date two months later than we had intended. The reservation was marked as non-refundable. As soon as I realized the mistake, I contacted the hotel and asked if they could simply change the dates. They had no availability on our preferred dates, so I asked them to make an exception and issue a refund. Despite several phone calls and polite requests, they refused.

Eventually, they reluctantly agreed to move our reservation to a weekend two months later, but charged us an additional €50, plus €30 for our child.

We explained that our child could sleep in the same bed with us if an extra bed was not available. However, when we arrived, we noticed a sofa bed in the room and unfolded it ourselves for our child. There was no pillow or bedding provided for him. I had to ask the staff to provide at least those essentials, which they eventually did.

After everything that had happened, I believe the least they could have done was prepare the sofa bed for our child in advance. This is one of the main reasons I am writing this review.

I also run a holiday rental business, and on numerous occasions I have offered refunds in similar situations. With two months’ notice, I believe there would have been a good chance of finding another guest for those dates.

What disappointed us most was the complete lack of empathy and understanding. We felt that the priority was simply to get as much money out of us as possible, rather than to find a reasonable solution and treat us with a little kindness.

I am genuinely sorry that our experience turned out this way, but I believe other guests should know what to expect.

Despite everything, I wish the hotel management all the best and hope they will reflect on this experience and handle similar situations with more understanding and consideration in the future.

Cons:

A little noisy duting the eveving but dod not borher us that much. No lift to our flloor (4th) so we had to carry the bags last dteps, that eere vey steep.

Great accommodation in a very central location surrounded by shops and restaurants.
Pros:

Perfect location at centre of lovely old town. Only 10 minute walk to the train station where you can catch train to Venice ( 20 minute train journey).
Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We especially liked the terrace which was nice for sitting with a glass of wine - it felt like you were part of the buzz in the main square as it overlooked the bars and restaurants of the Piazza dei Signori. Yet it was still peaceful once inside with the doors closed. If you don't mind the bell tower ringing!
