Colter's Lodge

Building is very tired, it was dark and dingy. Carpets were very dirty.

Such a cute place and the staff is friendly and helpful. The suite was very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Keep in mind there is no elevator so getting luggage up the stairs can be tricky. There is also no laundry on site but a coin laundry is a short drive away. The dinner buffet was great the first night and Wendy, our server, was so kind and attentive. The second night was kind of a bust as the atmosphere, food, and staff were all a bit “off”. Not sure what was going on that but we hope it was just a one off.

Its good for families

On our way to the Grand Tetons, we stayed here and were pleasantly surprised by how friendly the staff and owners were! The property is very large with a diner, restaurant and bar, all under one roof. Although there isn’t an elevator, the price was low and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The details of the original lodge as well as the decorating make it so interesting too! We stayed again on our drive back from the Grand Tetons and had great conversations with the staff again, as well as another comfortable nights stay. We recommend this and hope you will appreciate this lodge as much as we did!

very clean and a unique hotel

What a cool place! Unique & spacious rooms with options to eat and play pool at the hotel/bar.

Pleasantly surprised. If I’m ever in Afton again I would stay here. Friendly staff and great accommodations.

Parking was not an issue. The building is very unique. Checking was flawless. Room was clean with warm shower and a big TV. Ac worked great. The night was nice so I just slept with a window open. I would recommend staying here

The room was very small and we were not able to receive a receipt when we checked in nor when we checked out, no one was at the desk. I would say very expensive, especially for the size of the room.

Very nice updated historical hotel. Very comfortable and conveniently close to everything we needed. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The decor was a Western outdoors theme, very well done.

AC not working in room 41. Noise from the main road through town comes right through the window like it's not even closed. No blackout drapes. Cafe has okay food but a pretty limited menu. Very nice TV in the room. Bed is very comfortable with a variety of pillows.
Be prepared to climb stairs!

This hotel is in an older building on Main Street, so you hear every little vehicle passing. There is no elevator- you will have the pleasure of dragging your suitcase up three flights of stairs. There are no additional electrical plugs- they are old and have extensions coming out. I was afraid to use any of them for fear of electrocution.

Very comfortable multi bed room. Great for our ladies get away. The only drawback is that there is not an elevator so it was a little challenging with our older guests and luggage....

Very unique place to stay. The room was clean, huge and provided wonderful beds, multiple TVs and plenty of amenities. Would definitely stay there again.
