Pros:

Like you were in the jungle but restaurants, bars and stores a 3-5 minute walk away. Nice pool and great bar and restaurant.

Wow! This lovely, peaceful location gives White Lotus vibes, but in all the best ways! Our room had a fantastic view of trees, flowers, and jungle, with peek-a-boo views of the ocean. We could hear the ocean and surf from our room. We saw more wildlife at this resort than anywhere else we traveled in the Nicoya Peninsula. Our room was clean and cleaned daily, the landscaping was so beautiful, beds were comfy, and AC was appreciated after a day of touring. Our favorite area was the pool - just beautiful! The open air restaurant was top-notch - all food we tried was delicious and freshly made by talented chefs. Drinks, cocktails, and mocktails were amazing, and the included breakfast was wonderful. Arthuro in the restaurant was outstanding, as was the office and housekeeping staff - EVERYONE at this resort made us feel so welcomed. We just loved it.
Separate note: this resort offers lots of Yoga classes for a small upcharge, which seemed popular with many guests. However, IMO, the beach at Montezuma was not great for swimming or strolling for us, but it is very scenic and great for pictures.

Cons:

My ONLY critique is: please get real, actual chairs for the rooms' patios and balconies and the small cocktail seating area in the restaurant. Those funky, steel, weird chairs are great for trendy Insta pics, but they are dreadfully uncomfortable and very difficult to get out of if you are not athletic, or not 16-25 years old, or not blessed with a bottom the size of a 12-year-old.

Pros:

Hotel Nya was a beautiful place to stay! Their grounds are gorgeous and the pool was also super nice. The room was small but comfortable and had good working ac. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. I’d definitely recommend staying here.its also a very short walk to the beach or town. Oh and the included breakfast was delicious, some of the best food we had in our month in Costa Rica.
