Staff was out of this world.
Maybe amenities in the rooms we’re missing
The room was super comfortable and the staff was perfect.
The coffee maker did not make good coffee and no ice and the rooftop pool was closed when I tried to go in the early evening.
This is a gorgeous hotel with a beautiful lobby and very elegant and spacious rooms. However, there were some big misses that reduced the quality of my stay. The major reason why I’m downgrading this hotel from 5 to 4 stars is the pool area. Given that my room had no openable windows, the only public space where I could enjoy the outdoors during my stay was the pool area. However, the music was so extremely loud that I could not enjoy myself there. The pool area had POUNDING music with a maximum bass level on the sound system. Imagine having a drummer sitting right in front of you beating a drum while you are trying to relax and read a book. This constant POUNDING was totally annoying and really compromised my relaxation time at the hotel. As a result, I was stuck in my room for the whole stay, which kind of killed the vacation for me. The hotel should really create a Zen area around the pool where people can just relax. Why do we have to be bombarded with discotheque-level noise?
The other big miss was that the bathroom was far too dark, most especially around the mirror area. I found it very difficult to do any type of personal grooming in the bathroom as it was too dark. This darkness applied throughout the hotel. The elevators were like crypts. And the pool area after sunset was nearly pitch black. So, this seems to be a design feature of this hotel to make spaces very dark for guests.
My room rate did not include breakfast, which ran $24. I took advantage of an excellent grocery store called Fresko just minutes away from the hotel to buy food for the room, including my breakfast food. The hotel is part of a beautiful fashion mall that provides a lot of opportunities for eating. However, outside of this bubble, the surrounding area is completely desolate, with barely even a single restaurant. The city centre is a 20-25 minute Uber ride from the hotel ($8-15 depending on time of day). I really don’t know if there are better parts of the city to stay in, but I felt pretty disconnected from the city itself, and was totally reliant on the fashion mall at the hotel. On the plus side, the staff was super-friendly. A shout-out to Josue for a very welcoming check-in.
Incredible experience! The team provided an outstanding service for my family and me. The breakfast buffet was of this world. Kudos to Erick and special mention to Esmeralda. She pampered my Cocker Spaniel dog with a special Xmas supper. She was so happy that she was taken care of by Esmeralda. So supportive and attentive. We can’t wait to stay back at the Hilton Midtown. Lovely hotel, decor and staff. Congrats.
Estacionamiento muy amplio en el sótano, acceso directo a Plaza Midtown, Buffete muy bien, comodidad en dormitorios.
Great location and very comfortable
Everything was great but a little expensive for my taste.
Las instalaciones excelentes.
Los alimentos son caros.
Blanca,Erick and Esmeralda in the restaurant take service to the next level. The show the meaning hospitality. If you need something they will do their best to make it happen.
Then in the lounge you have Alexa Bazan, just like the one in your home just say her name and she will get what you need and she will remember your name so you always feel at home.
Let’s no forget Magalee front desk manger who from the start who can make your stay all you hoped it to be and more. She is backed up by Itzel and Daniella who are on top of their game when it comes to taking care of their guest.
Best hotel in Guadalajara by a mile and I have stayed at every Hilton in town and some other High-End hotels.
La cama y la higiene
Que no hay vallet parking listo para recibirte y el estacionamiento está compartido con la plaza.
El lobby está en 2do piso :-/
The worst most impersonal experience we have ever had. We arrived at 4.30 pm and we were only assigned our room at 5.45 pm as “room was not ready” when check-in was 3pm. The concierge staff were very detached and did not give us the true facts
Heavy metal music was blaring in dining area clashing with music in lobby. Terrible atmosphere.
Toilet flusher was loose.
Very poor experience.
The hotel was very nice aesthetically. The location is great. There is a connected mall and several nice restaurants that you can easily walk to. There were just a few glitches that lowered the overall star rating. There was no body wash in the room when I checked in, the virtual key would not work for executive lounge access so I had to use my physical card instead, and I was double charged for the ride back to the airport that I booked through the front desk. The bed was very comfortable with good supporting pillows. The pillows could be a bit larger. They are smaller than what you would normally find. The shower was really nice with plenty of pressure and hot water. Overall the stay was very nice. Shout out to Alexa and Juan in the executive lounge. They were both fantastic and provided great service.
Everything!
Nothing
Nice clean hotel and you avoid a lot of noise from the streets with the hotel being in the mall. Super convenient for restaurants and shopping in the mall. Staff and service is nothing special. Executive lounge is. Good adder with a great outdoor deck to work or hang out Pool is decent size. Overall I prefer this hotel over the jw. The jw use to have good healthy food but then changed chefs or something so now the food is the same at both hotels but the Hilton is quieter, does not have fake smells and the air conditioning in the rooms is quieter and works better than the jw.
Loved the room we stayed in. It had a view of the mall and the city. We would stay again.
Everybody was very courteous
Very confortable and nice
All is ok
