Pros:

Весь персонал очень дружелюбный, хозяин отеля отличный парень, говорит по-русски и классно готовит. У нас был номер на верхнем этаже со своей кухней и прекрасным большим балконом с видом на реку. Спасибо за приятные дни)))

Affordable and great choice
Pros:

Great location and view, watching water sports from your balcony is great and satisfying

Cons:

Family room is spacious but located on third floor, no lift is there and the staff handles the luggage,
Yet it’s not easy to carry the kids after a long day trip to the 3rd floor. However, it’s repeatable in general

Pros:

Hôtel de charme avec magnifique vue sur le fleuve. A 2mn en bateau de la belle et grande plage (navette offerte par l’hôtel). Bonne cuisine. Hôtes charmants sympathiques et de bons conseils. Et proche du centre ville sans l’agitation et le bruit de la circulation. Très belle et grande chambre climatisée avec salle d’eau spacieuse. Très bonne literie. Grande Balcon avec vue sur le fleuve

Great value lovely little hotel
Pros:

Lovely large room that was very clean, right on the lake edge. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and a restaurant.
Friendly staff. You can take a boat across to the beach from the hotel

החדר הגדול הוא מאוד גדול ומרווח. מרפסת מהממת נוף לנהר ומעל הברכה.
הצוות היה נהדר ממש וסידר לנו טיפול עיסוי בחדר בשעה מאוחרת בערב לבקשתנו. עשו הכל שיהיה לנו נוח וכיף. שירות הזעה לחוף בחינם ובקלות.. מקום מומלץ מאוד.

World class value for money. I’m already dreaming of returning.

Large room, great views, quiet, friendly staff. Superb value for money.

Cons:

Onsite restaurant didn’t sell Sri Lankan curry. Apart from that it was literally perfect!

Сподобалося ВСЕ! Дуже приємний власник готелю, його жінка і команда. Нуван дуже смачно готує, може допомогти в будь якій ситуації, чи то ремонт телефона, чи то трансферт в аеропорт, чи то рибололя в океані. Почувалися як вдома, завдяки Нувану.

The stay at Amber House was memorable and good value for money. The host was great.
Pros:

The host was great and we had opportunity to interact with owner and had enjoyed cooking of Indian cuisine. Free speed boat facility to visit Bentota beach was provided as per our convenience.
Food served was superb.

Cons:

Nothing adverse.

I’m very happy with my choice
Pros:

I loved this hotel, the room was amazing (it even had a jacuzzi) and the restaurant delicious. The owner Nuwan was very nice, he even picked us up at the train station and offered us a welcome drink. I would have loved to stay more!
We did the morning river safari and went to the beach in the afternoon, which is right in front, on the other side of the river (they will take you with their boat and pick you up). Highly recommend!

Наш номер на третьем этаже был очень просторным. Три панорамных окна в пол поразили воображение с первого взгляда. Засыпать и просыпаться с таким видом на реку - это сказка! Огромная кухня-холл со всем необходимым также понравилась. Бассейн чистят каждый день, вода в нем прохладная, было приятно освежиться после прогулок по городу. Завтрак подавался индивидуально (фруктовая тарелка, тосты с маслом и джемом, чай или кофе, сок, йогурт были всегда, на выбор было блюдо из яиц: омлет или яичница, или блинчики с медом и кокосом. Хозяин дома - Nuwan, неплохо говорящий по-русски, был очень услужлив, предложил сафари по реке, экскурсию на небольшую ферму черепах и подвёз нас БЕСПЛАТНО в другой отель в Бентоте, когда мы уезжали. Сюда определенно хочется вернуться!
Пляж Бентоты, куда возили на лодке через реку, очень красивый и протяженный, вполне купабельный, хотя есть места и с камнями (о чём вас обязательно предупредят местные гиды там же, на пляже), и с отмелями. Лежаки либо платные (1 тыс рупий в день), либо принадлежат отелям, мы загорали на своих ковриках в тени пальм, места вполне достаточно. Вообще, этот пляж - одна из причин, по которой мы остались в Бентоте, а не поехали на юг, как планировали ранее.

Cons:

Дружеский совет: маленькие полотенца для рук нужно заменить, они очень изношенные и серые (мы ими не пользовались). В холодильнике был небольшой запах, но не критично, т.к. мы всё хранили в пакетах.
