The staff service was excellent kind helpful couldn't ask for more
The location was lovely, everything was easily walkable and the food at the restaurant was really nice
I had to be up at 6am for a hike and loud music was playing in the restaurant until gone 10pm. I kept being told different times it would be shut off, eventually a few of us complained and they stopped.
Totally professional from start to finish and well worth the spend.
We absolutely loved our stay at The Royal Oak. The location in the heart of Betws-y-Coed was perfect for exploring Snowdonia, and the whole place had such a cosy, welcoming atmosphere. Our room was comfortable and the staff were lovely. A brilliant base for our Snowdonia stay and somewhere we’d happily return to.
Staff friendly
Really over priced rooms very out dated beds weren’t comfortable at all struggled to sleep had about 3 hours sleep because of the bed
Location in Betws-y-Coed was perfect. Right in the middle of town, everything was accessible.
No gym, had to walk to a sister hotel to work out. No elevator, but that is typical for older hotels in Wales.
Wonderful building right in the centre of the town.
Evening meal was overcooked and had to return half of our meal.
The location
The bar shut at 10pm
Friendly staff
Na
We were a family of 8 looking for an early evening meal, the restaurant wasn’t dog friendly but we were given 2 tables pushed together in the lounge. Had to go & find someone to order, food & drink had to be ordered & paid for upfront at the bar & we were told to collect our own cutlery & serviettes from a station in the lounge. One of the party chose gluten free fish & chips, we were informed after ordering, she couldn’t have GF chips so she chose jacket potato, when her meal arrived it was a fillet of fish with no batter. We got the meal exchanged for curry & rice which she would have ordered if given the correct info in the first place. Customer service was so poor & at-table service non-existent,the young man behind the bar had no knowledge of the wine list & presented us with a poorly opened bottle of red. The food was average & similar if slightly more expensive than other local eating places, all-in-all not a good customer experience.
Location, lots of parking pub/restaurants were very nice and amazing food
Bed was uncomfortable and pillows very flat. Room was very hot and noisy as window opened to rear restaurant/storage
Location, friendly staff, great breakfast.
poor shower.
We only went there for food my partner enjoyed his meal but There was a problem with the first wrap I had and the Staff were very helpful and replaced it with a new meal which was better but not the best for the price I paid it was 10 pound for a bit of crisps a small salad and a wrap a Tesco meal deal is better honestly it's a lovely modern place and staff were very nice but the prices are just too much.
