Everything was very good.
The lady who welcomed us on reception was very friendly, attentive and very good at her job. She was warming and welcoming with a big smile on her face. She gave us the low down on where to go, where to eat and provided us with a parking permit to park in the car park.
The bed in the room was the comfiest bed ever! It's right in the village centre so location you couldn't ask for more and has a gorgeous bar next door - And don't worry it shuts at 10pm so noise isn't an issue.
Finally we ate in the restaurant for dinner and the food was to die for!
Excellent trip and excellent hotel.
Nothing - The hotel was perfect and it not only matched but exceeded our expectations and I would fully recommend to anyone staying at this hotel.
Outside bar area (coverred)
the location was excellent and the ease of check in
towel rail in bathroom wasn’t on
Brilliant food and excellent staff
Nothing really Great place,
Very clean hotel, all the staff from reception to cleaners were helpful and friendly, good food from the restaurant and pub, also good selection of drinks. Excellent location
The smiling student waitress who attended to us through the problematic dinner/breakfast service and welcomed every time when entering the front door just brightened up the stay. Thank you so much for that!
To sum up, the place is not our cup of tea. The hotel is a kind of a collecting hub point for all sorts of visitors, way too busy for those who seek for a peace of mind. There are were repeating kitchen delay service issues both during the dinner and breakfast which was highly annoying after/before a long and busy day outside. We will not return.
Everything was really good. Location cleaniless, comfortable, bathroom was nice,
They should provide complimentary water bottle every day. This is basic.
A lovely old coaching inn set in the heart of Betws-Y-Coed and is a great location for visitong Snowdonia and the surrounding area. All the staff we met were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. We ate in both the The Grill and The Stables restaurants and the food was very good in both. The hotel appeared dark upon entering but to try and make it brighter would remove the character in my opinion. Overall, we would definitely stay at the Royal Oak again.
Stayed many times solo during several years and seasons, and it's always a lovely stay. Stay are very friendly and the general appearance of the hotel through out very historical and traditional. Food service is excellent too. You couldn't get a better location either.
Great place to stay for a few days walking in Snowdonia, good room, good food and friendly helpful service.
Situation
Stayed in lodge felt disconnected with hotel
great position centre of town , good parking staff quite friendly .Breakfast was good fresh and tasty combatable bed
Room seemed a little tired, would have preferred a walk in shower rather than a bath with shower curtain room seemed a little to hot and stuffy and TV Didn't work .Having to pay extra for breakfast was a deal breaker
The unique surroundings of the nacional park, the river. The diner was perfect. The staff was helpful, ha posibility to drop off bags in the morning.
Not a lot
Room was located in the annex, next to the car park, which got noise from about 5am, with deliveries and skips being moved
The staff were really friendly and helpful with any enquiries. The location was lovely and the rooms were nice.
