Porta da Mar

A beautiful experience all around. Like being in a beautiful Venetian home. Service was perfect and very welcoming.

Such an amazing spot to stay in, very clean and friendly helpful staff, also a great location away from the busy crowd and mostly surrounded by the locals, it has a quick access to water transportations to explore tourist destination around, plenty of restaurants, cafe and art gallery across the bridge. Definitely come back and stay here again :)

The 2 owners are so friendly and accommodating. We cant say enough good things about them.
This is conveniently located next to 2 public "bus" (water buses) stops. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the really popular shopping areas. We are so glad we decided to stay here as opposed to right in the middle of everything.

Ubicar bien tu muelle, el Trato de la Host fue muy bueno se domingo en todo momento con las instrucciones para la llegada , hay restaurantes muy cerca

Great hotel! The location is a bit away from the main area which was nice, it was quiet and lots of great restaurants nearby.

Rolig område og likevel kort vei til Markusplassen, shopping og kafeer. Enkelt å komme dit, Vaporetto ferja stoppet rett utenfor.
Kommer gjerne tilbake!

It’s basically just a few rooms you access with an app. There’s a common area with a sofa facing the canal, and a cleaner who comes and goes. That’s it. You get a private room with a bathroom, but this is not a hotel. No place to leave bags, no toilet in the lobby. The worst part: the bed was uncomfortable and the window looked straight at a wall. Came all the way to Venice to open the window and see a wall. Horrible. Also, it’s listed as part of the VIP/Gold perks, but nothing was offered or provided for that. I won’t be coming back and will complain about this “hotel” being included in the program.

Très peu de lumière du jour dans la chambre : au fond d’un puits de lumière très étroit. Ce n’était pas dans la description de la chambre. Pas de service de petit déjeuner à l’hôtel.

Great spot for a few nights in Venice!

The property was great but the staff were confusing. They sent an email requesting documents to be sent in order to receive the door code. We sent them and they sent the door code and another document with the code stating that no tax was imposed during the date of our stay. After checking out we started receiving texts saying we never submitted our documents or paid the fees. They were very rude and unfriendly

This is a great place to stay—within walking distance to the market area, shops, and plenty of restaurants.
Our entire stay was well-organized by Porta da Mar. Barbara reached out to us in advance, provided clear directions, and made sure we arrived without any issues. Although we were initially given a room without a sea view, she was able to upgrade us at no extra cost.
I highly recommend Porta da Mar to anyone visiting the area

Amazing boutique hotel, with amazing staff. Everyone from the owner/top mgmt to the day staff, were so helpful, kind and courteous. Perfect location and we even got upgraded to the sea views room. Spectacular!! We can not recommend Porta Da Mar enough.

Quite hard to find and not a fan of using your phone to unlock the doors but otherwise this is a great place with great location

No podríamos haber elegido mejor lugar para quedarnos, tienen un servicio excepcional, Marybeth fue extremadamente amable, gentil y servicial, la junior suite tiene dos habitaciones en excelentes condiciones, verdaderamente están enfocados en hacer que el huésped se sienta satisfecho.
Están en Arsenale a escasos metros de la estación para subirse al vaporeto, hay restaurantes alrededor y hasta un sitio de gelatos, no te fijes en que no hay elevador, en realidad la junior suite valió cada euro que pagamos. Si volviera a Venezia sin duda regresamos.
