Stylish design of former barn set in wine estate with good views over estate.
Small rooms were really tiny - double bed squashed against one wall. Stylishly done but difficult for 2 people to move around, as once the bathroom door was open there was very restricted floor space. Just checked photo and The Rails is shown with the bed with access on both sides but had been rearranged with the bed against the wall. Breakfast was a pleasant cold buffet but apparently they may be reinstating the excellent hot options which a colleague had enjoyed preciously.
Breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location is surprisingly rural.
Room was tiny - no chair, TV or wardrobe (no space!). Also very stuffy (had to have the fan on all night).

Location was very good on the Winery.
Staff were very good.
Only issue is the room was very small.
It was a two person room and I was the only person in it.
Could not bring up my larger bag as there was no room to place it.
Took up the carry-on bag to the room.
I should have know it would be a problem when I booked.
My room on the second floor was affected by a persistent intrusive mechanical noise. The staff indicated Rathfinny is well aware of this. I had the disturbance of having to move to another room. I really don’t think you should be letting the affected room until the problem is resolved.
Got Camp Hill room, very disappointing, one window by rhe front door and other in the cout yard 😑
Fint hotell, super service og god mat.
Lovely location. Comfortable lounge. Friendly staff. Great wine.
Bedroom was very cosy but nice for one night.
Beautiful
No hot water
Dinner had burnt veg tha had to be returned
The location is picture postcard stuff, beautiful surroundings and a lovely venue. The shared lounge room was very nice and cosy with the fire. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Staff were great.
The room was a little basic, no wardrobe just a hanging space, no fridge, small en-suite, and the room took a while to get warm with the heater (no air con).
Lovely food .. dinner & breakfast
Sadly the wine wasn’t to my taste too dry but I was pleased alternative was available
Beautiful location, fantastic breakfast and the room we were eventually moved to was very nice. Pleasant downstairs lounge area. We did a lovely walk around the vineyard which has beautiful views over the Downs.
Upon check in a dog was barking non stop in the room next to us. After establishing that it wasn't going to stop we reported this to reception. Thankfully we were able to move rooms. However we were surprised that the couple had been allowed to leave the dog in the room whilst they went out for the afternoon. Had there been no other rooms available this would have hugely impacted our stay. I'm afraid I did not rate the comfort of the bed.
Sympathetically restored barn accomodation in beautiful setting near Alfriston. The room was small but comfortable, but it would have been tight for more than one person. Loved the courtyard garden with some of my favourite plants. The resident’s lounge was also very stylish. Very tasty and plentiful breakfast. Staff really helpful.
It was very hot during my stay and the Flint Barns Dining Room had no air conditioning, just a rather feeble fan.
