A welcoming hotel with great staff. Good location near the Old Quarter and lake. Sky roof bar a lovely spot for a sundowner. Rooms a little small but perfectly functional

Spring for the Executive room we stayed at a deluxe room and I sisnt care for the Bathroom setup. The sink is in the open while the shower and toilet are in each own vestibule with their own doors. The counter space is very small and there are hardly any hooks to store your clothes while showering. Once you finish showering you come out straight to the bedroom and with the aircon on it can be a bit cold. There are no drawers for your clothes either. The open shelves are not really adequate so book the Executive room instead.
Breakfast on the 9th floor is great though. Great selection of both Western and local food. You have to take the elevator to the 8th floor and take a winding staircase up to the 9th floor so be aware if you have mobility issues.
Location is perfect. Just within 5-10 minutes to great restaurants. The lake is also very close. About 10 minutes walk.

Wonderful stay! Beautiful room, lovely staff, right in the middle of the old quarter and very close walk to the weekend night markets. Breakfast was delicious and had good vegetarian options. Would happily stay here again :)

Lovely hotel in a nice part of the old quarter. Close to all the amenities yet far enough away that you're not bothered with noise etc.
Restaurant was great and very reasonable prices. We ate there every day of our stay it was so good!
The skybar is also a great place to hang out, and they even have a small pool.
The best bit about the hotel though is the staff. They are so nice and friendly and really try to help you. Special thanks to Mollie and Kaycee who helped me with buying something in Ho Chi Min City and having it delivered to a hotel we would be staying at later in our trip in Hoi An. 10/10 for everything they did!!

Our room was clean n comfortable. Our first room had the toilet separated from the shower. I find more user-friendly when you are sharing a room with friends.
2 bottles of drinking water provided daily with fruits upon arrival.
Breakfast was delicious, not lavish, but good enough to start your day.
Staff at the restaurant, Tena, was especially friendly to all guests.
Not wheelchair friendly, as you have to take the lift to level 9 and walk up one more floor to the restaurant.

Shining Central Hotel & Spa was the perfect choice for our stay in Hanoi. The location is unbeatable; just steps from Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter - yet the hotel feels calm and welcoming.

The rooms are spotless, modern, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made us feel at home. Breakfast was excellent, offering a mix of Vietnamese and Western dishes, and the rooftop pool and views were an amazing bonus.

The staff truly make this hotel special. Everyone was warm and attentive, and a special shout-out to Annie, who went above and beyond to help us with recommendations and arrangements. Her kindness and professionalism made our trip unforgettable.

We had a wonderful stay at Shining Central Hanoi for 6 nights. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The staff there are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. Special mention to Molly at the reception desk, she was so lovely and helpful recommending places to visit and things to see and giving us discounts to the spa and restaurant. She always had a smile when we came through the lobby and always up for a chat. Also Annie at reception was very helpful on our checking out. I would also like to thank Hong for her help booking us in a few months ago, I rang Shining and we organised everything on a WhatsApp chat and giving us a discount on the price was very much appreciated. I’d like to thank Coung/mr green and Phuong/ miss vivi for looking after us at the Blue Eyes Sky Bar. They are both very friendly people and we chatted with them all the time. Their cocktails were delicious and they really looked after us every time we went there. Their pool upstairs is only small but enough to refresh you after a hot day.

Lovely hotel with exceptionally helpful staff. Great breakfast with nice food. Great views from the rooftop bar and the pool although very small was a lovely relief after a long day. Spa was also amazing, I had a wonderful foot massage. We had a connecting room and my only complaint is that there is very little natural daylight in these rooms. Overall though I would recommend as it is right in the heart of the city.

A really beautiful little hotel in the centre of Hanoi. The roof top pool is gorgeous and breakfast was absolutely delicious. The best part of it stay was the service. Staff are amazing, really helpful and kind. Thank you!

This hotel is AMAZING! It was our last stop for our honeymoon and it was such a nice experience considering how short our stay was! Very warm welcome with drink and dried fruit, but the most wow was when Jen the beautiful and lovely reception team took us to the room, absolutely breathtaking, the room was standing, they prepared the bed for us with balloons and they got us a delicious cake and it doesn’t stop there they gave us a bottle of wine and a tray of fruit! We felt very spoiled and looked after and it was the perfect way to end our trip! Thank you all and specially to Jen!

We enjoyed 4 wonderful days in Shining Central. Our experience couldn't have been better. The rooms, the breakfasts, the spa... But what really makes the difference is the staff. Without detracting from anyone on the team, I cannot fail to mention Jen, a great professional. He quickly resolved all our requests and doubts. Thank you Jen, we adore you!!

We stayed here as a family of 8, on and off during our time exploring Vietnam.
The staff were so lovely and accommodating, looking after some of our luggage whilst we travelled.

The rooms were immaculate- we felt as if we were in a 5 star hotel!

Incredible hotel with incredible service in the heart of Hanoi. The service was fantastic, they really helped my wife celebrate her birthday (big shoutout to Kaycee in reception for being genuinely keen to help out!). Breakfast in restaurant was a great way to start the day.
