Breakfast and general cleanliness
Arrival
Staff were ultra friendly
Very dated for the star rating. Shower unclean.
Forgot about twice at breakfast and had to leave after waiting over an hour for food.
Could not get in touch with staff prior to stay.
I didn't stay personally - but both colleagues were disappointed with the quality of the accommodation. For the star rating, it didn't live up to the expectation.

Cleanliness friendly staff Amazing dinning room and breakfast
Closeness to all amenities in Knaresborough
On the top floor so too many steps to get to our room on a daily basis
The room was well set out and very clean, with the same said for the bathroom. The mattress was very bouncy but we had a comfortable sleep nevertheless. Breakfast was good with a large selection to choose from. Overall a very pleasant stay and would use again without hesitation.
Comfortable bedroom, great breakfast, friendly staff.
Hotel was closed between 1-4pm - we would have liked to have been able to leave suitcases. All it needed was a note that we could do this.
Location was good, nice clean rooms.
Lovely period building. Spacious. Good parking at rear. Great staff. Great breakfast. Fantastic close proximity to Market Square, Castle and walking down to river and viaduct.
We were on top floor, but no lift. But not a major problem. We were at the front of the building and the road is quite noisy until 10.30, made worse by hot weather and window open + idiots racing their motorbikes at silly speeds from the traffic lights and cars with over noisy exhausts Despite it being a 30mph speed limit! This is not the fault of the hotel.
Very good breakfast.
No parking on road in front of hotel and luggage has to be carried from car park - about 100 yards from car round to hotel back door.
Clean, well kept, homely
Nothing
Nice, light room. A little self-contained flat off the main road, which was convenient - and felt connected to the town.
Location excellent breakfast good nice choices large comfortable room
Not keen hotel closed from 12.00 till 4 pm
Felt decor was tired bathroom needs a revamp . Thought was expensive.
I loved the little touches like the board games in the room, the reasonably priced mini bar and the nice living room that everyone had access to. The staff were particularly friendly during every interaction I had with them. I liked the vibe of the rooms and the fact that they were on the orchard theme, and decorated in a really nice way.
I couldn’t find a hairdryer in the room so that would have been good but it was fine without. The shower was a bit old but did the job.
Great location with just a two minute walk into the centre of Knaresborough. We had the family room in the rear courtyard and so it was lovely and peaceful. Easy check in. Great breakfast with a choice of cooked breakfasts. Staff where all very pleasant.
N/A
The Orchard Club Hotel is exceptional in all aspects from booking in to the quality of accommodation, food, comfort etc. The owner is both very welcoming and helpful.
All was exceptionally good.
Breakfast was excellent. Much better to be served than to partake in the scrum of many hotel options. There were additional "snacks" on offer in our room.
Although the room was over the main road the double-glazing was effective and we slept well.
It was a short walk to the town centre.
Lovely view over the valley and the viaduct from the castle park.
Because of our "advanced years", we would have preferred a walk-in shower to one over the bath. We realise that in an older building this is sometimes difficult to arrange, but if they are thinking of some modifications ....
Spacious clean room
A little bit old fashioned
We liked the breakfast and the staff.
We booked for 4 nights but left after the 1st night. The road noise in our room was intolerable, the bathroom was disappointing and our room had unlocked access to and from the next room due to a fire escape route.
The manager was kind enough to refund us for the other 3 nights which was good.
