Comfortable with good restaurant

Sharing my very unpleasant experience during our recent stay at Wahaj Boulevard Hotel. Upon check-in, the receptionists, IBRAHIM and SALAH, neither smiled nor greeted us, and they attempted to charge us double for the private night swimming pool. Additionally, we were kept waiting for around 10-15 minutes.

However, I would like to commend the F&B team for their exceptional service. They were very nice and supportive throughout our stay.

Friendly staff , clean rooms; excellent room and breakfast service

I booked room for 2 adults 2 child
And requested a baby cot.

Upon arrival I was told 2 children are not included in breakfast but are staying in the room.

I was charged for cot bed 2 days when I only used it for 1 night.
After arguing and spending 30 min waiting around was told 1 night.

Hotel needed a deposit, which I came across 1st time.

Hotel policies makes you look like a thief? Or is just me the way I got treated.

the location area is not so nice and far from the city center the staff not so helpful the rooms are big and clean but quite poor and quite expensive the lobby bar is also very poor and from this area is difficult to find a taxi

Receptionist were rude and unkind. The rooms looks way better and has newer furniture in the pictures than in actual life.

Place is so cozy, clean and fairly priced. Rooms are very clean with complete necessities provided.

I want to personally thank the person who assisted me at the front desk, Mohamad, who has been so accommodating, friendly and attentive to our needs. From our booking, check in and check out, Mohamad was very helpful to ensure that our stay is as comfortable as it can be. Thank you Mohamad for an amazing service.

The pool/Jacuzzi is clean and well maintained which my kids loved.

Will surely come back and recommend to my friends.

It's an Excellent hotel with reasonable price. Warm welcome, helpful staff and marvellous view at the coffee shop in 20th floor. In general, it's a lovable place to visit. The food is also amazing.
They also offer a great massage services and.

was a best place an unexpected beautifull view and decorations, pool was not warm but jacozy was perfect .. and i liked , gym was great cafe is good , parking area is nice , i recommend for day uses or small vacations

We booked a couple of rooms and stayed 3 times with family members during the holidays.

PROS:

1. Check-in was smooth since they would reply promptly through their Whatsapp.

2. The building seems new, the rooms were clean and the views from the rooms on the top floors were beautiful. From our room we have a nice mixed city and sea view (from a distance).

3. We were offered a connecting room since we came as family which was a good gesture. The rooms have the necessary hotel fixtures such as kettle, flat iron, TV, fridge, and toiletries.

4. The steam, sauna and heated jacuzzi were the highlight of our stay. This was actually the only reason why we came back three times in a month!

5. They have great offers at a reasonable price ideal for families on a weekend staycation.

6. They changed the timing for the use of pool and jacuzzi until 12 midnight during our third visit after our complaint from our second visit.

7. They always take guest comments and suggestions every after check-out which shows that they are committed to improve their services. The management even personally messaged me and called me a few times to remind me for an online feedback regarding our stay.

CONS:

1. The reception staff is very disorganized. They easily get overwhelmed by the volume of guests that buys their promotions, misinforms their guests, gets confused about the promotions and inclusions of their packages and fails to have a proper system to manage their reservations and Spa/massage services. Because of our complaint, we were offered an upgrade but it seems like a downgrade.

2. The Manager-on-duty who received our complaint during one of our stay was a bit rude and cocky. Instead of being understanding of the situation and managing the problem, he still keeps on insisting about the hotel’s policy and disregards the guest’s needs and sentiments. He should be more effective in dealing with the customers.

3. They should stay true to what is being offered in their promotions. Our package included manicure/pedicure but instead, we got foot spa and nail cleaning services only! That was disappointing since it wasn't what we expected in the first place.

They gave us a headache when we were arranging for the schedule of the massage services since they kept on insisting that they were already booked by non-hotel guests on the day of our stay because they only have 2 masseur! If that's the case then why continue to offer these services if you can't even deliver them?

They had false advertisement for the New Year's buffet since their poster showed that it would be "Seafood Buffet" but the only "seafood" in the selection was shrimp tempura, fish fingers and shrimp cocktail. Food was okay and the taste was another hit and miss, since the shrimp and calamari for example were hard and overcooked.

4. They don’t prioritize in-house guests who availed of their full packages and instead still accept outside bookings for their Spa services which are a major letdown. Our package included massage and mani/pedi but when we inquired regarding the schedule for the massage, we were told that the date of our stay was already fully booked by outsiders. We insisted that we are in-house guests, that we should be prioritized and that they should not offer these services if they cannot provide it.

5. The food served for their usual breakfast and plated dinners (room service) was hit and miss. Breakfast buffet and plated dinner was okay, but the selection was limited and was always the same.

6. The credibility of their masseur was questionable. My father and other relatives who had the massage were not satisfied. The Arab masseur doesn't seem to know what he was doing. This is a health risk because having lack of knowledge about proper massage and nerve points can cause complications such as injury and paralysis.

7. It seems the staff is not well trained, where some lacks hospitality and are not welcoming.

8. They don't recognize international holidays such as Christmas which they should because they're a hotel and that they cater not only to local guests but to expats as well. A nice Christmas decoration would have been nice during our Christmas Eve stay. This was a bit disappointing since this was our first Christmas Eve celebration outside of our house.

9. The New Year's dinner buffet was a disaster! Although the tables followed social distancing and the decors were nice, the utensils used in the buffet were not disposable and the staff failed to control the crowd where some of the guest doesn't wear masks and gloves when they were getting their food from the buffet table. This is a major health risk not only for the guests but also for the staff especially during this COVID19 pandemic!

Overall, it was a good and comfortable stay mostly because of the Sauna/Steam/Jacuzzi. The hotel has great potential so hopefully the Management would consider these kinds of feedback to improve their services.

My family and a friend's family stayed overnight at this hotel with our kids. I appreciate the cleanliness which is evident in the reception as well as in the rooms. The facilities like the sauna, steam room, pool and jaccuzi are what we adults and kids enjoyed the most.
Breakfast could be improved by providing a wider selection of food though.
We recommend this hotel for your future weekend family getaway.

The experienced we had that night is good. All the best moments is from the time we meet Mohammad and Abrar in the reception. The time clicks that we will have a great stayed because of this two employees. Their moral character and concerned is really counted to be appreciate byvthe guest and should be by the company.

But, the buffet dinner ruined our mood of my family we didnt even enjoy our dinner to breakfast as well. The team for precaution of covid 19 is not well trained. But the manager Sami hes doing his best to accomodate us and control the situation.

Strict precautions for the guest must be implemented. Its not safe to eat in this hotel. The guest are even not wearing mask while taking food from the buffet. I could rate the food 3. The distance very poor. And the safety needs improvement.

Everything is prefect.. Clean rooms,tasty food and nice massage center. The staff is very helpful special Mr. Mohammed at the reception. Swimming pool is clean n warm water. I will definitely come back soon

Very good service , very polite employees , swimming pool is great with also hot Jacuzzi , my kids enjoyed a lot, I really appreciate the clean room and have the breakfast at the room.

i was in Wahaj Boulevard Hotel for small holiday with my family and enjoyed alot inside. Good food, Swimming pool, as well as cleaning services. i am planing to stay in the same hotel very soon. thank you so much for this kind of Hospitality and services.
