Disappointing and overpriced

Cons:

Staff barely spoke English. Amenities poor. Shame - it has a good location and a lot of potential but they don’t seem to understand how to deliver a 5 star service. I sat at the outside bar for half an hour surrounded by dirty glassses , staff walking by. Then was told the service just closed outside (way after I arrived) and to go to the bar and bring a drink out. Waited ten minutes at the bar. If you charge $20 bucks a cocktail - deliver the service with it. I gave up. The Imperial Hotel is a much better choice for Ginza.

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Die Zimmer haben für Tokio eine gute Größe und waren sehr sauber. Das Personal ist freundlich.

Cons:

Ich würde dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen, da das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis aus meiner Sicht nicht passt. Die Zimmer sind sehr teuer für das, was geboten wird. Ich war bereits in rund 30 Hotels in Japan zu Gast (davon 8 in Tokio) und kann lokale Besonderheiten entsprechend berücksichtigen. Es gibt in der Umgebung Hotels mit ähnlicher Ausstattung für einen besseren Preis sowie Hotels in ähnlicher Preislage, die dann bspw. für alle Zimmer tolle Aussichten bieten. Wir hatten uns für dieses Hotel entschieden, da wir vom The Gate in Kyoto sehr begeistert waren und dieses auch schon zwei Mal besucht haben. Dieses Haus der Kette kann hiermit jedoch ca nicht mithalten.
Es ist sehr laut, da direkt an der Bahnlinie. Als ich um ein ruhigeres Zimmer gebeten habe, konnte man mir lediglich ein bezahltes Upgrade anbieten (was dann ein Zimmer direkt gegenüber vom Hotel war).
Das Frühstück ist ok, aber auch nicht mehr und obwohl sehr viel Personal da ist, wird benutztes Geschirr nicht abgeräumt und man wartet sehr lange auf sein Essen.
