If you are looking for a quiet stay surrounded by nature, without spending too much? This one’s worth checking out.
Pros:

- Mountain View, breathtaking and serene.
- Coffee Plantation between the entry gate & property.
- Not a pinch of noise during nights. Very peaceful.
- Rooms are humongous.
- Owner personally suggests the best getaways around Coorg.
- Homestyle food by caretaker that too at budgeted rates. Caretaker is very responsive.

Cons:

While the property was serene and the owner & caretaker were very accommodative, few things can be improved to make it best.
1. RO should be there. We need to rely on packaged drinking water which is chargeable or boiled water.
2. If you plan to have lunch or dinner in property than Food options are limited and blend. Breakfast is good.
3. Property is far from madikeri (main Coorg) so we spent a considerable time in property. While it was serene but few outdoor and indoor games would make it more entertaining.

Homely and beautiful stay in the wilderness!
Pros:

Sunil (owner) and Rajendar (caretaker) were absolutely great with their instructions, property rules, communication and hospitality. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and homely. We loved the view from the property!
They both went above and beyond in making sure we felt at home! They also helped with couriering a small item I left behind by mistake.
I would recommend the place to others and will visit again myself

Cons:

Although we didn't need it, but wifi barely reached our room and definitely didn't reach the smart tv. TV's set top box wasn't recharged - so no channels were working. I am sure Sunil would have addressed it if we were to mention it to him, but we didn't go there to watch TV and didn't bother.

Our stay at Forest Dale was truly amazing and one of the best experiences we’ve had in Coorg. The property was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and had such a peaceful and refreshing vibe surrounded by nature. Every corner of the place reflected care and attention to detail.

A special mention to Rajender, the caretaker, who was extremely courteous, helpful, and made us feel completely at home throughout our stay. His hospitality genuinely added to the overall experience.

The view from the property was breathtaking, the food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing getaway.

We genuinely loved our stay here and felt it was completely worth the money. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Coorg and looking for a peaceful, clean, and memorable stay!

Perfect Getaway for a break.
Pros:

The location is mesmerizing to start with. Good homely food. Would love to visit and stay longer to have a longer experience.

Cons:

Traffic noise from far away which is a bit annoying in such a quiet place specially in the evening. There is nothing which the owner can do about but the rest of the experience was not much a concern. Maybe Toiletries can be improved upon.

If you are looking to escape the city’s humdrum, Forestdale Homestay is an absolute sanctuary. Tucked away in nature with breathtaking views, it offers a serene and calm atmosphere that immediately hits the reset button on your soul.
What sets this place apart is the incredible hospitality of the owner. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel like old friends rather than guests. He truly went above and beyond, taking us for a drive to the local golf course and even sharing a piece of his heritage by showing us his ancestral house. Listening to his stories and deep-rooted experiences of growing up in Coorg added a layer of local history we could never have found in a guidebook. He even took the time to personally instruct and guide our cab driver to ensure we saw all the best hidden gems and places of interest.
The Food:
The facilities are perfect—it really is a "home away from home." The staff are courteous and talented, cooking meals exactly to your liking. We had the Chicken Curry and Paputtu, and it was divine! The authentic, home-cooked flavors were the highlight of our culinary experience.
The "Purr-fect" Bonus:
And oh God... the cats! They are such a joy and truly make the house feel complete.
Between the misty valley views, the authentic Kodava soul, and the warmest hosts (both human and feline), Forestdale is a gem. We left feeling like family and can’t wait to return.

Good for my one night stay
Pros:

V helpful owner, great view and good location half way between kannur and Mysore. V comfy mattress and good home cooked food

No walks in the countryside, only on roads… really need a car. Work being done on property.

Pros:

Of all the places I visited in Coorg, this homestay was the absolute best. It felt like a dream come true.

Pros:

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Forestdale Coorg! The rooms were spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained offering the perfect blend of comfort and coziness. I especially loved the hill view room waking up to the serene view of misty hills and lush greenery was truly magical.

3. Towels should be thicker - usual variety. The ones we were provided were very very thin. Insufficient to use comfortably.
