Adequate for an overnight but overpriced
Pros:

The homestay access wasn’t immediately obvious I checked all the floors and in the process tried an unmarked door which happened to be the right one - they could definitely do with some signage. Kalpa, the guy who seems to be in charge is very nice and helpful and also speaks good English, otherwise the service on the whole was basic but satisfactory, although I wasn’t expecting to be sunmonsed to breakfast by an early knock on the door. The immediate area is let down by a pungent and stagnant watercourse at the corner of the street, which will no doubt have a bearing on the number of mosquitos in the vicinity. The nearby main road has a number of options for eating and a variety of basic stores. It’s a rickshaw or taxi ride to the river or the center.
