Charming, with lovely staff
Pros:

Lovely hotel. Room was spacious, clean and well-presented and had nice window seats. The honesty bar is a very charming space. All staff were friendly and helpful. Cooked breakfast tasted good. Would happily stay again. Very central.

Cons:

This wasn't a problem for us, but some might like to know that half the hotel is in a separate building (20 seconds away) so you need to step outside to get to breakfast if you're in that building.
The cold breakfast range was limited - no cheeses or meats so I ended up having cooked. They supported my coeliac dietary requirements well by kindly heating up pastries I'd brought along, but I wish I didn't have to and that hotels would have more than just GF bread available - GF croissants etc can be kept ready in the freezer!

Our favourite hotel in Bath
Pros:

We absolutely love staying at Eight in Bath – it’s become our go-to hotel every time we visit.

It’s a gorgeous boutique hotel, beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail. The rooms are stylish, comfortable, and feel really special without being over the top.

The staff are what really make it though – genuinely friendly, welcoming, and nothing is ever too much trouble. You feel looked after from the moment you arrive.

The location is perfect as well – right in the heart of Bath, so everything is within easy walking distance.

We’ve stayed here a few times now and wouldn’t choose anywhere else. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere with charm, character, and a really personal touch.

Pros:

Location is superb, if you are just looking for a lovely comfortable room for the night I would highly recommend. It’s exactly what we were looking for as we wanted to eat out for all meals. It’s just behind the baths, within the heart of the food & shopping scene. Gorgeous location with beautiful shop fronts. Our room was really pretty, spacious, with high ceilings and lovely interiors. The quality of everything was excellent - hand soap and lotion, shampoo & conditioner, bed linen, towels.

Cons:

It can be noisy by night - mostly people walking back home or birds but it was sporadic. If you are easy going about noise and location and comfort is your priority - it’s a great choice.

Lumpy mattress and a bit noisy (I could hear neighbours conversations - perhaps rooms could be soundproofed?). Plus there’s significant noise from outside but given the location, that’s to be expected I guess

Pros:

Fantastic room right in the middle of the most famous parts of Bath. Lots of space and unusual extras given.
The bathroom was amazing. They had thought about every detail. It felt special. It was very kind that our room was upgraded..It overlooked the 300 year old plane tree in the area in front which was just stunning.
He staff were very helpful and phoned us when our room was ready. Looked after our luggage and put it ready for us in our room again.
We would definitely stay again.

Cons:

Our room was excellent value - but it would have been even better if it had included breakfast. We felt the breakfast was a little pricey so decided not to have it.

Perfect refuge.
Pros:

The hotel close to just about everything. The staff were warm and helpful. The room clean and comfortable with the only noise being church bells ringing outside the window. The honor bar and lounge were a great refuge at the end of a busy day. The breakfast was worth doing in a city that becomes easily overcrowded. It was a delicious and peaceful way to start the day.
